Love is patient, love is kind. Love does not envy, is not boastful, is not arrogant,is not rude, is not self-seeking, is not irritable, and does not keep a record of wrongs.Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth.It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.

Every branch in me that does not produce fruit he removes, and he prunes every branch that produces fruit so that it will produce more fruit.

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, unwavering, without pretense.And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

As for the seed that fell among thorns, these are the ones who, when they have heard, go on their way and are choked with worries, riches, and pleasures of life, and produce no mature fruit.But the seed in the good ground— these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, produce fruit.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge,knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness,godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love.For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being useless or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

You’ll recognize them by their fruit. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a bad tree produces bad fruit.A good tree can’t produce bad fruit; neither can a bad tree produce good fruit.Every tree that doesn’t produce good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.So you’ll recognize them by their fruit.

Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.We have also obtained access through him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in the hope of the glory of God.And not only that, but we also boast in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance,endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.This hope will not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,and to put on the new self, the one created according to God’s likeness in righteousness and purity of the truth.Therefore, putting away lying, speak the truth, each one to his neighbor, because we are members of one another.Be angry and do not sin. For even Christ did not please himself. On the contrary, as it is written, The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.

My brothers and sisters, I myself am convinced about you that you also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, and able to instruct one another.

Older men are to be self-controlled, worthy of respect, sensible, and sound in faith, love, and endurance.In the same way, older women are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers, not slaves to excessive drinking. They are to teach what is good,so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands and to love their children,to be self-controlled, pure, workers at home, kind, and in submission to their husbands, so that God’s word will not be slandered.In the same way, encourage the young men to be self-controlledin everything. Make yourself an example of good works with integrity and dignity in your teaching.Your message is to be sound beyond reproach, so that any opponent will be ashamed, because he doesn’t have anything bad to say about us.Slaves are to submit to their masters in everything, and to be well-pleasing, not talking backor stealing, but demonstrating utter faithfulness, so that they may adorn the teaching of God our Savior in everything.For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation for all people,instructing us to deny godlessness and worldly lusts and to live in a sensible, righteous, and godly way in the present age,

Don’t let anyone despise your youth, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.

Through Silvanus, a faithful brother( as I consider him), I have written to you briefly in order to encourage you and to testify that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it!

who died for us, so that whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him.Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to give recognition to those who labor among you and lead you in the Lord and admonish you,and to regard them very highly in love because of their work. We recall, in the presence of our God and Father, your work produced by faith, your labor motivated by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you,because our gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, in the Holy Spirit, and with full assurance. You know how we lived among you for your benefit,and you yourselves became imitators of us and of the Lord when, in spite of severe persecution, you welcomed the message with joy from the Holy Spirit.As a result, you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia.For the word of the Lord rang out from you, not only in Macedonia and Achaia, but in every place that your faith in God has gone out. Therefore, we don’t need to say anything,for they themselves report what kind of reception we had from you: how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true Godand to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead— Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath.

But now, since you have been set free from sin and have become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification— and the outcome is eternal life!

Ephraim, why should I have anything more to do with idols? It is I who answer and watch over him. I am like a flourishing pine tree; your fruit comes from me.

Wives, likewise, should be worthy of respect, not slanderers, self-controlled, faithful in everything.

and that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not all have faith.
