我观看你手指所造的天，并你所安设的月亮星宿，啊，人算什么，你竟顾念他！世人算什么，你竟眷顾他！

太阳和月亮啊，你们当赞美他！所有放光的星辰哪，你们当赞美他！

当称谢那造了大光的，因他的慈爱永远长存！他让太阳管白昼，因他的慈爱永远长存！他让月亮和星辰管黑夜，因他的慈爱永远长存！

他确立这些，直到永永远远；他赐下法令，永不废去。

你们向高天举目观看吧！是谁创造了这些万象？是按着数目把万象领出来的那一位！他一一点其名；因他的大能大力，它们一个也不缺失。

只要大地还存留，稼穑、寒暑、冬夏、昼夜就不会停息。”

我又观看，羔羊打开第六个封印的时候，发生了大地震。太阳变黑像粗毛布，整个月亮变得像血。

当在新月时、在满月时，在我们过节的日子吹响号角！

“在太阳、月亮和星辰中将有征兆出现；在地上，因海洋的咆哮和翻腾，列国的人就惊慌失措，陷入困惑混乱之中；人们预料到将要临到世界的事，就吓得魂不附体；因为诸天的各势力都将被震动。

太阳失去了光，同时，圣所里的幔子裂成两半。

他们问：“生下来做犹太人之王的那一位在哪里？我们在东方看见了他的星，就来了要朝拜他。”

耶稣回答他们，说：“黄昏的时候你们说：‘天要晴了，因为天色通红’；清晨的时候你们说：‘今天会有风雨，因为天色通红又变得阴沉。’你们能分辨天象，却不能分辨时代的征兆。

天地照着你的法规存到今日，因为万有都是你的仆役。

“那些日子的患难一过去，‘太阳就要变黑，月亮也不发光，星辰要从天上坠落，诸天的各势力也将被震动。’

我把我的彩虹放在云中，它就是我与大地立约的标记。

在天上我要显奇事；在地上我要行神迹——有血、有火、有烟雾。在主那大而显赫的日子来到之前，太阳要变为黑暗，月亮要变为血。

诸天述说神的荣耀，穹苍宣告他手的作为。这日到那日涌出言语，这夜到那夜陈述知识。无言无语，无声无息。但它们的声音传遍全地，它们的言语传到地极。神在它们中间为太阳安设帐篷，太阳如同新郎出洞房，又如勇士欢然奔路。它从天这边出来，绕到天的那边，没有什么能在它的热气面前隐藏。

它打开了无底坑口，就有烟从坑口里往上冒，好像大火炉的烟，甚至太阳和天空因坑口的烟而变为黑暗。

第四位天使吹响号角，太阳的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被击打，以致它们的三分之一变黑了；于是白昼的三分之一没有光，夜晚也是如此。
