白晝屬你，黑夜也屬你；明亮的星體和太陽是你確立的。你設立了大地一切的邊界，你制定了夏天和冬天。

我觀看你手指所造的天，並你所安設的月亮星宿，啊，人算什麼，你竟顧念他！世人算什麼，你竟眷顧他！

太陽和月亮啊，你們當讚美他！所有放光的星辰哪，你們當讚美他！

當稱謝那造了大光的，因他的慈愛永遠長存！他讓太陽管白晝，因他的慈愛永遠長存！他讓月亮和星辰管黑夜，因他的慈愛永遠長存！

他確立這些，直到永永遠遠；他賜下法令，永不廢去。

你們向高天舉目觀看吧！是誰創造了這些萬象？是按著數目把萬象領出來的那一位！他一一點其名；因他的大能大力，它們一個也不缺失。

只要大地還存留，稼穡、寒暑、冬夏、晝夜就不會停息。」

我又觀看，羔羊打開第六個封印的時候，發生了大地震。太陽變黑像粗毛布，整個月亮變得像血。

當在新月時、在滿月時，在我們過節的日子吹響號角！

「在太陽、月亮和星辰中將有徵兆出現；在地上，因海洋的咆哮和翻騰，列國的人就驚慌失措，陷入困惑混亂之中；人們預料到將要臨到世界的事，就嚇得魂不附體；因為諸天的各勢力都將被震動。

太陽失去了光，同時，聖所裡的幔子裂成兩半。

他們問：「生下來做猶太人之王的那一位在哪裡？我們在東方看見了他的星，就來了要朝拜他。」

耶穌回答他們，說：「黃昏的時候你們說：『天要晴了，因為天色通紅』；清晨的時候你們說：『今天會有風雨，因為天色通紅又變得陰沉。』你們能分辨天象，卻不能分辨時代的徵兆。

天地照著你的法規存到今日，因為萬有都是你的僕役。

「那些日子的患難一過去，『太陽就要變黑，月亮也不發光，星辰要從天上墜落，諸天的各勢力也將被震動。』

我把我的彩虹放在雲中，它就是我與大地立約的標記。

在天上我要顯奇事；在地上我要行神蹟——有血、有火、有煙霧。在主那大而顯赫的日子來到之前，太陽要變為黑暗，月亮要變為血。

諸天述說神的榮耀，穹蒼宣告他手的作為。這日到那日湧出言語，這夜到那夜陳述知識。無言無語，無聲無息。但它們的聲音傳遍全地，它們的言語傳到地極。神在它們中間為太陽安設帳篷，太陽如同新郎出洞房，又如勇士歡然奔路。它從天這邊出來，繞到天的那邊，沒有什麼能在它的熱氣面前隱藏。

它打開了無底坑口，就有煙從坑口裡往上冒，好像大火爐的煙，甚至太陽和天空因坑口的煙而變為黑暗。

第四位天使吹響號角，太陽的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一都被擊打，以致它們的三分之一變黑了；於是白晝的三分之一沒有光，夜晚也是如此。

「在那些日子裡，隨著那患難，『太陽就要變黑，月亮也不發光，
