当你们举目观看你们的上帝耶和华赐给天下万民的日、月、星辰等天上万象时，不要受诱惑去跪拜、供奉它们。

要称谢那位创造日月星辰的，因为祂的慈爱永远长存。祂让太阳管理白昼，因为祂的慈爱永远长存。祂让月亮星辰管理黑夜，因为祂的慈爱永远长存。

我观看你指头创造的穹苍和你摆列的月亮星辰，

你们向天举目，看看是谁创造了这万象？是谁把众星一一领出来，给它们取名？祂的权柄和能力极大无比，它们一个也不会少。

愿这一切都来赞美耶和华！因为祂一发命令便创造了万物。

太阳、月亮啊，你们要赞美祂！闪亮的星辰啊，你们要赞美祂！

白昼和黑夜都属于你，你设立了日月。

当时晨星齐声歌唱，众天使都发出欢呼。

第四位天使将碗倒在太阳上，太阳就变得炙热如火，可以灼伤人。人们被炙热灼伤，就亵渎掌管这些灾祸的上帝的名，他们毫无悔意，不肯归荣耀给上帝。

你射出的箭闪闪发光，你的枪熠熠生辉，以致日月都停在天上。

日有日的荣光，月有月的荣光，星有星的荣光，这颗星和那颗星的荣光也有分别。

圣城里不需要太阳和月亮的光照耀，因为有上帝的荣光照耀，羔羊就是圣城的灯。

那时，月亮必羞于露面，太阳必黯然无光，因为万军之耶和华必在锡安山，在耶路撒冷掌权，在祂子民的首领面前彰显荣耀。

天上的星辰不再发光，太阳刚出来就变黑，月亮也暗淡无光。

它滑过长空，从天这边绕到天那边，热量广及万物。

从正午一直到下午三点，黑暗笼罩着整个大地。

我若见太阳发光，明月在天上移动，

我造光明，也造黑暗；赐平安，也降灾祸。这一切都是我耶和华的作为。
