又恐怕你抬头望天，看见日、月、星，就是天上万象的时候，就被勾引，去敬拜和事奉它们，那原是耶和华你们的神分给天下万民享用的。

要称谢那造成大光的，因为他的慈爱永远长存。他造太阳管白昼，因为他的慈爱永远长存。他造月亮和星星管黑夜，因为他的慈爱永远长存。

我观看你手所造的天，和你所安放的月亮和星星。

你们向天举目吧！看是谁创造了这些万象？是谁按着数目把万象领出来，一一指名呼唤？因他的大能大力，连一个也不缺少。

愿这一切都赞美耶和华的名，因为他一发令，它们就都造成。

太阳和月亮啊！你们要赞美他；光亮的星星啊！你们都要赞美他。

白昼是你的，黑夜也是你的，月亮和太阳，都是你设立的。

那时晨星一起歌唱，神的众子也都欢呼。

第四位天使把碗倒在太阳上，太阳就得了能力，可以用火烤人。人被高热烧烤，就亵渎那有权柄掌管这些灾难的神的名，并不悔改，把荣耀归给他。

日月停在本位，你的箭发射如光；你的矛闪烁辉耀。

太阳有太阳的荣光，月亮有月亮的荣光，星星有星星的荣光，而且每一颗星的荣光也都不同。

这城不需要日月照明，因为有神的荣耀照明，而羊羔就是城的灯。

“那些日子的灾难刚过去：太阳就变黑了，月亮也不发光，众星从天坠落，天上的万象震动。

那时，就是耶和华把亚摩利人交给以色列人的时候，约书亚在以色列人面前对耶和华说：“太阳啊，停在基遍；月亮啊，停在亚雅仑谷。”于是太阳停住，月亮站住，直到以色列人在仇敌的身上报了仇。这事不是写在《雅煞珥书》上吗？太阳在天空中站住，不急速下落，约有一整天。在这日以前或这日以后，耶和华听人的祷告，没有像这日一样的，因为耶和华为以色列作战。

那时，月亮必蒙羞，日头要惭愧，因为万军之耶和华必在锡安山，在耶路撒冷作王；并且在他子民的众长老面前，大有荣耀。

天上的星星和众星座不再发光；太阳刚出来就变为黑暗，月亮也不再发光。

它从天的这边出来，绕行到天的那边；没有什么可以隐藏，得不到它的温暖。

从正午到下午三点钟，遍地都黑暗了。

我若见太阳（“太阳”直译是“光”）照耀，或明月行在空中，

我造光，也造黑暗；我赐平安，也降灾祸；我耶和华是造成这一切事的。
