第四位把他那一碗倒在日頭上，日頭就得權柄、能用火烤人。人被大炎熱一烤，就褻瀆那有權柄掌管這些災殃的上帝之名，並不悔改而將榮耀獻與上帝。

那時月亮必蒙羞，烈日必慚愧；因為萬軍之永恆主必作王，在錫安山、在耶路撒冷、掌權，在敬畏他、的長老面前大有榮耀。

天上的眾星羣宿都不發光；日頭一出就變黑暗，月亮也不放光。

其出發、出於天這邊，其繞行、繞到天那邊：沒有一物能隱藏、而得不到其熱氣的。

從中午十二點起，那地方都佈滿了黑暗，直到下午三點。

我若見日光照耀，寶月行空，

我、形成光的，創造黑暗的，造成平安興隆的，創造災禍的：我永恆主乃是造成這一切的。
