我，我哪是洋海，哪是大海獸，你竟設防來戒備我呀？

以色列人生殖，孳生眾多，極其強盛：那地滿是他們的人。

飛鳥各從其類，牲畜各從其類，地上一切爬行動物、各從其類，每樣兩個：都要來找你保全性命。

來管晝夜，分別光暗：上帝看這很好。

上帝看看他一切所造的都很好。有晚上有早晨，是第六日。

『地下陰魂都震慄戰兢，水和住水中的族類也都恐怖驚慌。

『人子啊，你要為埃及王舉哀唱歌，對他說：『列國中的少壯獅子啊，你可完啦！你，你像海中的鱷魚；卻在你的江河裏衝激着，用你的腳攪濁了水，踹渾了眾水的江河。

約拿怎樣三晝三夜在大魚腹中，人子也必怎樣三晝三夜在地心裏。

永恆主吩咐那魚，魚就把約拿吐在旱地上。

永恆主安排了一條大魚把約拿吞下去；約拿在魚腹中三日三夜。
