神就賜福給牠們，說：“要繁衍增多，充滿海洋；雀鳥也要在地上增多！”

神就賜福給他們，對他們說：“要繁衍增多，充滿這地，征服它；也要管理海裡的魚、空中的鳥和地上所有走動的生物。”

他又賜福給他們，使他們人口眾多，也沒有使他們的牲畜減少。

這樣，耶和華後來賜給約伯的福比先前更多：他有一萬四千隻羊、六千匹駱駝、一千對牛、一千頭母驢。

你看看河馬吧，我造牠像造你一樣，牠吃草如牛一般。

神賜福給挪亞和他的兒子，對他們說：“你們要繁衍增多，充滿大地。

你的妻子在你的內室，好像多結果子的葡萄樹；你的兒女環繞著你的桌子，好像橄欖樹的枝條。

我眷顧你們，使你們繁衍增多，也必堅立我與你們所立的約。

願我們的倉庫滿溢，各種糧食不缺；願我們牧場上的羊群，孳生千萬。願我們的牛群滿馱貨物；城牆沒有缺口，沒有人出去爭戰（“願我們⋯⋯出去爭戰”或譯：“願我們的牛群多生多養，沒有流產，沒有死掉”），在我們的街上也沒有呼叫的聲音。

耶和華所賜的福使人富足，並不加上愁煩。

願人因耶和華的慈愛，和他向世人所行的奇事稱謝他。

拉班對他說：“我若蒙你賞臉，請你不要走，因為我得了神旨，知道耶和華賜福給我，是因你的緣故。”

我沒來以前，你所有的很少，現在卻大大地增加了；耶和華隨著我的腳蹤賜福給你。現在，我甚麼時候才能興家立業呢？”

神對他說：“我是全能的神，你要繁衍增多，必有一國和眾國從你而生，又必有很多君王從你而出。
