上帝就赐福给这一切，说：“要繁殖增多，充满在海的水里；飞鸟也要在地上增多。”

这样，耶和华后来赐福给约伯比先前更多。他有一万四千只羊，六千匹骆驼，一千对牛，一千匹母驴。

“看哪，我造河马，也造了你；它吃草像牛一样。

上帝赐福给挪亚和他的儿子，对他们说：“你们要生养众多，遍满这地。

你妻子在你内室，好像多结果子的葡萄树；你儿女围绕你的桌子，如同橄榄树苗。

我要眷顾你们，使你们生养众多，也要与你们坚立我的约。

我们的仓盈满，能供应各种粮食；我们的羊在田野孳生千万。我们的牲口驮满货物，没有人闯进来抢夺，也没有人出去争战；我们的街市上也没有哭号的声音。

耶和华所赐的福使人富足，并不加上忧虑。

但愿人因耶和华的慈爱和他向人所做的奇事都称谢他。

拉班对他说：“愿你看得起我，因我占卜得知，耶和华赐福给我是因你的缘故。”

我未来以前，你拥有的很少，现在却已大量增加，因为耶和华随着我的脚步赐福给你。现在，我到什么时候才可以成家立业呢？”

上帝又对他说：“我是全能的上帝；你要生养众多，将来有一国和许多的国从你而来，又有许多君王从你生出。
