耶穌回答說：「你們難道沒有讀過嗎？造物主從起初就把人造成男的和女的。

從創世之初，『神把人造成男的和女的』，

以下是亞當譜系的記錄：在神創造人的日子，神按著自己的樣式造人；神創造了男人和女人；在他們被創造的日子，神祝福他們，給他們起名為「人」。

耶和華神又說：「那人孤身不好，我要為他造一個合適的幫助者。」

男人本來不應該遮蓋著頭，因為他是神的形像和榮耀，而女人是男人的榮耀。原來男人不是由女人而出，女人卻是由男人而出；並且男人不是為女人而造，女人卻是為男人而造。

他們每個都是被稱為我名下的，是我為自己的榮耀所創造、所塑造的，是我做成的。」

愛子是那不可見之神的形像，是一切被造之物的長子，

這話語就是歷世歷代被隱藏的奧祕，但如今已經顯明給他的聖徒們。
