God blessed them and said to them,“ Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

如果不是耶和华建造房屋，建造的人就徒然劳苦；如果不是耶和华看守城池，看守的人就徒然警醒。（本节在《马索拉文本》包括细字标题）你们清早起来，很晚才歇息，吃劳碌得来的饭，都是徒然；因为主必使他所爱的安睡。儿女是耶和华所赐的产业，腹中的胎儿是他的赏赐。年轻时所生的儿女，好像勇士手中的箭。箭袋装满了箭的人是有福的，他们在城门口和仇敌说话的时候，必不至于羞愧。

所有和你在一起有生命的活物：飞鸟、牲畜和一切在地上爬行的动物，你都要带出来，使它们可以在地上滋生、繁殖，也可以在地上增多。”

你的妻子在你的内室，好像多结果子的葡萄树；你的儿女环绕着你的桌子，好像橄榄树的枝条。看哪！敬畏耶和华的人必这样蒙福。

我必定赐福给你，必使你的后裔繁多，像天上的星，海边的沙；你的后裔必占领仇敌的城门。地上万国都要因你的后裔得福，因为你听从了我的话。’”

雅比斯呼求以色列的神说：“深愿你大大地赐福给我，扩张我的境界，你的能力常与我同在，保护我免遭灾祸，不受痛苦。”神就应允了他所求的。

他又赐福给他们，使他们人口众多，也没有使他们的牲畜减少。

我必赐福给她，也必使她为你生一个儿子；我要赐福给她，她也要作多国的母，万族的君王必从她而出。”

至于以实玛利，我也应允你。看哪，我已经赐福给他；我必使他昌盛，子孙极其众多；他必生十二个族长；我也必使他成为大国。

六子是亚米利、七子是以萨迦、八子是毗乌利太；神实在赐福给俄别．以东。

那天晚上，耶和华向他显现，说：“我是你父亲亚伯拉罕的神；你不要怕，因为我与你同在；我必为了我仆人亚伯拉罕的缘故，赐福给你，使你的后裔增多。”

是你父亲的神帮助你，是那全能者赐给你；他把从天上来的福，地下深渊蕴藏着的福，哺乳和生育的福，都赐给你。

以扫举目观看，看见妇人和孩子，就问：“这些与你同来的人是谁？”雅各回答：“是神赐给你仆人的孩子。”

你要寄居在这地，我必与你同在，必赐福给你，因为我要把这全地都赐给你和你的后裔，履行我向你父亲亚伯拉罕所起的誓。我必使你的后裔增多，好像天上的星那样多；我必把这全地都赐给你的后裔；地上的万国都必因你的后裔得福。

他们给利百加祝福，对她说：“我们的妹妹啊，愿你作千万人之母；愿你的后裔，占领仇敌的城门。”

愿天和地都赞美他，愿海洋和海中一切生物都赞美他。

这样，耶和华后来赐给约伯的福比先前更多：他有一万四千只羊、六千匹骆驼、一千对牛、一千头母驴。

他们禁止嫁娶，禁戒食物。食物本是神所造的，是给信主和认识真理的人存感谢的心领受的。
