He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.

For he spoke, and it was done. He commanded, and it stood firm.

God has made the earth by his power. He has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding has he stretched out the heavens.When he utters his voice, the waters in the heavens roar, and he causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings for the rain, and brings the wind out of his treasuries.

to him who by understanding made the heavens; for his loving kindness endures forever:to him who spread out the earth above the waters; for his loving kindness endures forever:

God said,“ Let the waters abound with living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the sky.”

A revelation, Yahweh’s word concerning Israel. Yahweh, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

The heavens declare the glory of God. The expanse shows his handiwork.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky’s windows opened.It rained on the earth forty days and forty nights.

By his Spirit the heavens are garnished. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.

God said,“ Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs to mark seasons, days, and years;

Praise him, you heavens of heavens, you waters that are above the heavens.

But Yahweh is the true God. He is the living God, and an everlasting King. At his wrath, the earth trembles. The nations aren’t able to withstand his indignation.

Praise Yah! Praise God in his sanctuary! Praise him in his heavens for his acts of power!
