人被拉到死亡，你要解救；人將被殺，你須攔阻。你若說：「看哪，這事我們不知道」，那衡量人心的豈不明白嗎？保護你性命的豈不知道嗎？他豈不按各人所做的報應各人嗎？

亞伯蘭帶着他妻子撒萊和姪兒羅得，以及他們在哈蘭積蓄的財物、獲得的人口，往迦南地去。他們就來到了迦南地。

你們世世代代的男子，無論是在家裏生的，或是用銀子從外人買來而不是你後裔生的，都要在生下來的第八日受割禮。

朋友時常親愛，弟兄為患難而生。

於是以色列眾人從但到別是巴，以及從基列地出來，如同一人，聚集在米斯巴耶和華那裏。

誰從東方興起一人，憑公義召他來到腳前？誰將列國交給他，使他管轄列王，把他們如灰塵交與他的刀，如風吹的碎稭交與他的弓？他追趕君王，安然走過，快速地腳不落地。

勇士啊，願你腰間佩刀，大展榮耀和威嚴，為真理、謙卑、公義威嚴地駕車前進，無不得勝；願你的右手顯明可畏的事。你的箭鋒快，射中王的仇敵的心，萬民仆倒在你之下。

「統領大軍的君王逃跑了，逃跑了！」在家等候的婦女也分得了掠物。

這是他拉的後代。他拉生亞伯蘭、拿鶴和哈蘭；哈蘭生羅得。哈蘭死在他父親他拉的面前，死在他的出生地迦勒底的吾珥。亞伯蘭、拿鶴各娶了妻。亞伯蘭的妻子名叫撒萊，拿鶴的妻子名叫密迦，是哈蘭的女兒。哈蘭是密迦和亦迦的父親。撒萊不生育，沒有孩子。他拉帶着他兒子亞伯蘭和他孫子，哈蘭的兒子羅得，以及他的媳婦，亞伯蘭的妻子撒萊，一同出了迦勒底的吾珥，要往迦南地去；他們來到哈蘭，就住在那裏。

我揀選他，為要叫他命令他的子孫和後代家屬遵行耶和華的道，秉公行義，使耶和華所應許亞伯拉罕的話都實現了。」

法老就因她厚待亞伯蘭，給了亞伯蘭許多牛、羊、公驢、奴僕、婢女、母驢、駱駝。

「我主請聽。你在我們中間是一位尊貴的王子，只管在我們最好的墳地裏埋葬你的死人；我們沒有一人會拒絕你在他的墳地裏埋葬你的死人。」

亞伯蘭就對羅得說：「你我不可以相爭，你的牧人和我的牧人也不可以相爭，因為我們是一家人。

弟兄們，若有人偶然被過犯所勝，你們屬靈的人就要用溫柔的心把他挽回過來；自己也要留意，免得也被引誘。你們各人的重擔要互相擔當，這樣就會成全基督的律法。
