誰召義人、至自東方、導之以行、服眾國、制列王、以鋒刃擊敵、以弓矢射眾、擣之成粉、若風揚秕、追至不識之途、絕無陷害之虞、

有能之傑士兮、腰懸利刃、彰爾尊榮兮、乘車顯赫、惟仁義與信是佑、有戰必勝、使人畏懼兮、爾鏃甚利、勝異邦人、刺敵之心兮、

三軍之帥、望風逃遁、居家之婦、亦分所得兮、

他拉之裔如左。他拉生亞伯蘭、拿鶴、哈蘭、哈蘭生羅得。死於故土、即迦勒底之耳邑、其時父他拉尚在。亞伯蘭拿鶴咸娶室、亞伯蘭妻撒勑、拿鶴妻密迦、密迦暨以士迦、俱哈蘭之女。撒勑不妊故無出。他拉挈其子亞伯蘭、及孫羅得、即哈蘭子、並其媳、即亞伯蘭妻撒勑、咸出迦勒底之耳邑、欲往迦南、至於哈蘭居焉。

我知彼必囑其子、及眷屬、令守我道、秉公行義、如是則我所許者、可踐其言。

亞伯蘭為法老厚待、遂有牛羊、駱駝、牝牡之驢、以及婢僕。

吾主請聽、爾在我中、為有能之牧伯、在我塚地間、擇其佳者、以葬其尸。我中必無人禁爾。

亞伯蘭謂羅得曰、爾我乃骨肉之親、不可相爭、爾牧我牧、何競之有。

兄弟乎、人偶有過、感於神者、當平心規正之、亦當內省、恐己見惑焉、宜相服勞、以盡基督之法、
