撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华使我不能生育。求你和我的使女同房，或者我可以因她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“看哪，耶和华使我不能生育。你来和我的婢女同房，也许我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰听从了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“耶和华不让我生育，请你与我的婢女同房，也许我可以借着她生子立后。”亚伯兰同意了撒莱的话。

撒莱对亚伯兰说：“请看，耶和华使我不能生育，求你去亲近我的婢女，或者我可以从她得孩子。”亚伯兰就听从了撒莱的话。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：『你看，永恆主抑制我、使我不能生育；求你進去找我婢女，或者我的後裔得以樹立起來。』亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

撒萊對亞伯蘭說：「看哪，耶和華使我不能生育，請你與我的婢女同房，或許我可以藉著她立後。」亞伯蘭聽從了撒萊的話。

so she said to Abram,“ The Lord has kept me from having children. Go, sleep with my slave; perhaps I can build a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So she said to Abram,“ The Lord has kept me from having children. Go and sleep with my slave. Maybe I can have a family through her.” Abram agreed to what Sarai had said.

And Sarai said to Abram,“ Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ The Lord has prevented me from having children. Go and sleep with my servant. Perhaps I can have children through her.” And Abram agreed with Sarai’s proposal.

Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the LORD has prevented me from bearing children, go to my slave; perhaps through her I can build a family.” And Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children. Please have relations with my slave woman; perhaps I will obtain children through her.” And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, the Lord has restrained me from bearing children. Please, go in to my maid; perhaps I shall obtain children by her.” And Abram heeded the voice of Sarai.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, Jehovah hath restrained me from bearing; go in, I pray thee, unto my handmaid; it may be that I shall obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the Lord has prevented me from bearing children, go to my slave; perhaps through her I can build a family.” And Abram agreed to what Sarai said.

And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.

So Sarai said to Abram,“ Since the LORD has prevented me from having children, have sexual relations with my servant. Perhaps I can have a family by her.” Abram did what Sarai told him.

Sarai said to Abram,“ See now, Yahweh has restrained me from bearing. Please go in to my servant. It may be that I will obtain children by her.” Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

Isaac prayed to the Lord on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The Lord answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant. (niv)

Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. (niv)

Then one of them said,“ I will surely return to you about this time next year, and Sarah your wife will have a son.” Now Sarah was listening at the entrance to the tent, which was behind him. (niv)

for the Lord had kept all the women in Abimelek’s household from conceiving because of Abraham’s wife Sarah. (niv)

When Leah saw that she had stopped having children, she took her servant Zilpah and gave her to Jacob as a wife.Leah’s servant Zilpah bore Jacob a son. (niv)

The man said,“ The woman you put here with me— she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” (niv)

Then the elders and all the people at the gate said,“ We are witnesses. May the Lord make the woman who is coming into your home like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the family of Israel. May you have standing in Ephrathah and be famous in Bethlehem. (niv)

Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman,“ Did God really say,‘ You must not eat from any tree in the garden’?”The woman said to the serpent,“ We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden,but God did say,‘ You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’”“ You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.“ For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”When the woman saw that the fruit of the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and also desirable for gaining wisdom, she took some and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it. (niv)

Then God remembered Rachel; he listened to her and enabled her to conceive. (niv)

If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the woman and her children shall belong to her master, and only the man shall go free. (niv)

Jacob became angry with her and said,“ Am I in the place of God, who has kept you from having children?”Then she said,“ Here is Bilhah, my servant. Sleep with her so that she can bear children for me and I too can build a family through her.”So she gave him her servant Bilhah as a wife. Jacob slept with her, (niv)

To Adam he said,“ Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you,‘ You must not eat from it,’“ Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. (niv)

I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.” (niv)

Then Rachel said,“ God has vindicated me; he has listened to my plea and given me a son.” Because of this she named him Dan. (niv)
