So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said,“ Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

Then Lot went out and spoke to his sons- in- law. They had promised to marry his daughters. He said,“ Hurry up! Get out of this place! The Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons- in- law thought he was joking.

So Lot went out and said to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters,“ Up! Get out of this place, for the Lord is about to destroy the city.” But he seemed to his sons-in-law to be jesting.

So Lot rushed out to tell his daughters’ fiancés,“ Quick, get out of the city! The Lord is about to destroy it.” But the young men thought he was only joking.

So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were going to marry his daughters.“ Get up,” he said.“ Get out of this place, for the LORD is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

So Lot went out and spoke to his sons in law, who were to marry his daughters, and said,“ Up, get out of this place, for the Lord is destroying the city.” But he appeared to his sons in law to be joking.

So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said,“ Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!” But to his sons-in-law he seemed to be joking.

And Lot went out, and spake unto his sons- in- law, who married his daughters, and said, Up, get you out of this place; for Jehovah will destroy the city. But he seemed unto his sons- in- law as one that mocked.

“ Separate yourselves from this assembly so I can put an end to them at once.” (niv)

“ Flee from Babylon! Run for your lives! Do not be destroyed because of her sins. It is time for the Lord’s vengeance; he will repay her what she deserves. (niv)

Then I heard another voice from heaven say:“‘ Come out of her, my people,’ so that you will not share in her sins, so that you will not receive any of her plagues;for her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her crimes.Give back to her as she has given; pay her back double for what she has done. Pour her a double portion from her own cup.Give her as much torment and grief as the glory and luxury she gave herself. In her heart she boasts,‘ I sit enthroned as queen. I am not a widow; I will never mourn.’Therefore in one day her plagues will overtake her: death, mourning and famine. She will be consumed by fire, for mighty is the Lord God who judges her. (niv)

But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. (niv)

But they did not believe the women, because their words seemed to them like nonsense. (niv)

Then I said,“ Sovereign Lord, they are saying of me,‘ Isn’t he just telling parables?’” (niv)

You deceived me, Lord, and I was deceived; you overpowered me and prevailed. I am ridiculed all day long; everyone mocks me. (niv)

They have lied about the Lord; they said,“ He will do nothing! No harm will come to us; we will never see sword or famine.The prophets are but wind and the word is not in them; so let what they say be done to them.”Therefore this is what the Lord God Almighty says:“ Because the people have spoken these words, I will make my words in your mouth a fire and these people the wood it consumes. Now stop your mocking, or your chains will become heavier; the Lord, the Lord Almighty, has told me of the destruction decreed against the whole land. (niv)

Whoever remains stiff- necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed— without remedy. (niv)

The couriers went from town to town in Ephraim and Manasseh, as far as Zebulun, but people scorned and ridiculed them. (niv)

“ It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building.But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all.“ It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. (niv)

When they heard about the resurrection of the dead, some of them sneered, but others said,“ We want to hear you again on this subject.” (niv)

But those who ignored the word of the Lord left their slaves and livestock in the field. (niv)

During the night Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron and said,“ Up! Leave my people, you and the Israelites! Go, worship the Lord as you have requested. (niv)

While people are saying,“ Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. (niv)

Even while the boy was coming, the demon threw him to the ground in a convulsion. But Jesus rebuked the impure spirit, healed the boy and gave him back to his father. (niv)
