The Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

耶和华神说：“那人独居不好，我要为他造一个配偶帮助他。”

耶和华神又说：“那人孤身不好，我要为他造一个合适的帮助者。”

耶和華上帝曰、人獨處非善、我將作一相助者以配之、

耶和華上帝曰、不可使夫人獨處、必造一相助為理者。

耶和華天主曰、人獨處未善、我將為之作偶以助之、

The Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”

Then the LORD God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper corresponding to him.”

And Jehovah God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a help meet for him.

Then the Lord God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper as his complement.”

And the LORD God said,[ It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.

The LORD God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a companion for him who corresponds to him.”

Yahweh God said,“ It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him.”

Two people are better than one. They can help each other in everything they do.Suppose either of them falls down. Then the one can help the other one up. But suppose a person falls down and doesn’t have anyone to help them up. Then feel sorry for that person!Or suppose two people lie down together. Then they’ll keep warm. But how can one person keep warm alone?One person could be overpowered. But two people can stand up for themselves. And a rope made out of three cords isn’t easily broken.

A man should not cover his head. He is the likeness and glory of God. But woman is the glory of man.Man did not come from woman. Woman came from man.Also, man was not created for woman. Woman was created for man.That’s why a woman should have authority over her own head. She should have this because of the angels.But here is how things are for those who belong to the Lord. Woman is not independent of man. And man is not independent of woman.Woman came from man, and man is born from woman. But everything comes from God.

Husbands, consider the needs of your wives. They are weaker than you. So treat them with respect. Honor them as those who will share with you the gracious gift of life. Then nothing will stand in the way of your prayers.

The one who finds a wife finds what is good. He receives favor from the Lord.

When a woman is learning, she should be quiet. She should follow her leaders in every way.I do not let women teach or take authority over a man. They must be quiet.That’s because Adam was made first. Then Eve was made.

The man said,“ It’s the fault of the woman you put here with me. She gave me some fruit from the tree. And I ate it.”

Suppose someone is worried that he is not acting with honor toward the virgin he has promised to marry. Suppose his desires are too strong, and he feels that he should marry her. He should do as he wants. He is not sinning. They should get married.
