但耶和華啊，你是我們的父親。我們是陶泥，你是窯匠，你親手造了我們。

那時塵土必歸於塵土，靈也要歸回賜靈的上帝。

聖經上也說：「第一個亞當成了有生命的人」，但末後的亞當是賜人生命的靈。

上帝的靈創造了我，全能者的氣賦予我生命。

也不需要人的侍奉，因為祂一無所缺。祂將生命、氣息和萬物賜給世人。

你必汗流滿面，才有飯吃，一直到你歸回塵土。因為你是塵土造的，也必歸回塵土。」

因為祂知道我們的本源，顧念我們不過是塵土。

只要我一息尚存，鼻中還有上帝之氣，

第一個人亞當來自地上，是用塵土造的，但第二個人基督來自天上。

在陸地上所有用鼻孔呼吸的生靈都死了。

因此，耶和華上帝就把亞當趕出伊甸園，讓他去開墾土地——他的本源。

你這個人啊！你是誰啊？竟敢頂撞上帝！受造之物怎能對造物主說：「你為什麼把我造成這樣？」

以下是耶和華關於以色列的啟示。鋪展穹蒼、奠立大地的根基、塑造人靈魂的耶和華說：

不要再倚靠世人，他們的生命不過是一口氣，他們有什麼值得稱道的呢？

要知道耶和華是上帝，祂創造了我們，我們屬於祂，是祂的子民，是祂草場上的羊。

摩西和亞倫就伏在地上說：「上帝啊，賜人生命的上帝啊！一人犯罪，你就要向全體會眾發怒嗎？」

在上帝面前，我與你無異，也是泥土造的。

再者，我們的生身父親管教我們，我們尚且敬重他們，何況是萬靈之父上帝管教我們，我們豈不更要順服祂並得到生命嗎？

然後祂向他們吹了一口氣，說：「你們領受聖靈吧！

心靈是耶和華的燈，鑒察人的肺腑心腸。

兩者都同歸一處，出於塵土，也歸於塵土。誰知道人的氣息會向上升，獸的氣息會降到地下呢？」

我們知道，我們的身體好比是地上的帳篷，如果毀壞了，我們就從上帝那裡得到一個住處，不是人手造的，而是天上永恆的「房屋」。

我稱謝你，因為你創造我的作為是多麼奇妙可畏，我心深深知道。我在隱秘處被造、在母腹中成形的時候，你對我的形體一清二楚。

撕裂有時，縫合有時；沉默有時，發言有時；

我們不過是瓦器，裡面卻有這寶貝，要顯明這莫大的能力是上帝的，而不是我們自己的。

更何況源自塵土、住在土造的軀殼裡、脆弱如蛾的世人呢？
