Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

但耶和華啊，現在你仍是我們的父！我們是泥，你是陶匠；我們都是你親手所造的。

塵土仍歸於地，像原來一樣，氣息仍歸於賜氣息的神。

經上也是這樣記着說：「首先的人亞當成了有生命的人」；末後的亞當成了賜生命的靈。

神的靈造了我，全能者的氣使我得生。

也不用人手去服侍，好像缺少甚麼似的；自己倒將生命、氣息、萬物賜給萬人。

你必汗流滿面才有食物可吃，直到你歸了土地，因為你是從土地而出的。你本是塵土，仍要歸回塵土。」

因為他知道我們的本體，思念我們不過是塵土。

只要我的生命尚在我裏面，神所賜的氣息仍在我鼻孔內，

第一個人是出於地，是屬於塵土；第二個人是出於天。

在乾地上凡鼻孔裏有生命氣息的都死了。

耶和華神就驅逐他出伊甸園，使他耕種土地，他原是從土地裏被取出來的。

你這個人哪，你是誰，竟敢向神頂嘴呢？受造之物豈會對造他的說：「你為甚麼把我造成這樣呢？」

耶和華的默示，他的話論到以色列。鋪張諸天、建立地基、造人裏面之靈的耶和華說：

你們不要倚靠世人，他只不過鼻孔裏有氣息，算得了甚麼呢？

當認識耶和華是神！我們是他造的，也是屬他的；我們是他的民，是他草場的羊。

摩西、亞倫臉伏於地，說：「神，賜萬人氣息的神啊，一人犯罪，你就要向全會眾發怒嗎？」

看哪，我在神面前與你一樣，也是用泥土造成的。

再者，我們曾有肉身之父管教我們，我們尚且敬重他，何況靈性之父，我們豈不更當順服他而得生命嗎？

說了這話，他向他們吹一口氣，說：「領受聖靈吧！

人的靈是耶和華的燈，鑒察人的內心深處。

都歸一處，都是出於塵土，也都歸於塵土。誰知道人的氣息是往上升，走獸的氣息是下入地呢？

因為我們知道，我們這地上的帳篷若拆毀了，我們將有神所造的居所，不是人手所造的，而是在天上永存的。

我要稱謝你，因我受造奇妙可畏，你的作為奇妙，這是我心深知道的。我在暗中受造，在地的深處被塑造；那時，我的形體並不向你隱藏。

撕裂有時，縫補有時；沉默有時，說話有時；

我們有這寶貝放在瓦器裏，為要顯明這莫大的能力是出於神，不是出於我們。

何況那些住在泥屋、根基在塵土裏、被蛀蟲所毀壞的人呢？
