凡在陸地、有鼻可通呼吸者、咸就死亡。

故遣其人出埃田囿、以栽植所自出之土、

我則曰、爾何人、敢詰上帝耶、受造之物、豈能對造者云、何造我若此乎、

耶和華展舒穹蒼、建立地極、以生氣賜億兆、乃論以色列族之事、而頒其命曰、

斯人也、呼吸之氣、出入於口、安能助人、勿以為可恃。

宗耶和華為上帝、彼造我躬、我為其民、牧我若羊兮、

二人乃俯伏曰、上帝乎、爾以生氣賜於億兆、曷以一人獲罪、而怒及會眾。

我與爾、無非上帝所甄陶、原無異也。

生我身之父責我、而我敬之、況賦我神之父、豈不當誠服以得永生乎、

言竟、噓氣曰、受聖神、

人之本心、譬諸明燈、耶和華所畀、俾燭照事機。

其生也作以土、其死也返於土、俱歸一所、人之神、升於天、獸之精、降乎地、誰念及之、

我知此身、猶土室帷幕、雖壞、然有上帝經營、非手所作之室、悠久於天、

爾造我躬、神妙莫測、爾之經綸、無不奇異、是我所知、頌美爾兮、我在母胎、受造甚巧、骨骸潛長、皆爾所知兮、

有時可分裂、有時可彌縫、有時可默、有時可言、

我儕有此寶、藏於土器、使知莫大之能、非由我、乃由上帝、

況居下土、置基塵凡、蠹得而壞之者乎。
