那时亚比米勒还没有与撒拉亲近，于是他说：“主啊，连公义之民，你也要杀吗？

亞比米勒未近婦、故曰、無辜之民、主欲滅之乎、

Now Abimelek had not gone near her, so he said,“ Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?

But Abimelek hadn’t gone near her. So he said,“ Lord, will you destroy a nation that hasn’t done anything wrong?

Now Abimelech had not approached her. So he said,“ Lord, will you kill an innocent people?

But Abimelech had not slept with her yet, so he said,“ Lord, will you destroy an innocent nation?

Now Abimelech had not approached her, so he said,“ Lord, would you destroy a nation even though it is innocent?

Now Abimelech had not come near her; and he said,“ Lord, will You kill a nation, even though blameless?

But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said,“ Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also?

Now Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, Lord, wilt thou slay even a righteous nation?

Now Abimelech had not approached her, so he said,“ Lord, would You destroy a nation even though it is innocent?

David said to God,“ Was it not I who ordered the fighting men to be counted? I, the shepherd, have sinned and done wrong. These are but sheep. What have they done? Lord my God, let your hand fall on me and my family, but do not let this plague remain on your people.” (niv)

Then Abraham approached him and said:“ Will you sweep away the righteous with the wicked?What if there are fifty righteous people in the city? Will you really sweep it away and not spare the place for the sake of the fifty righteous people in it?Far be it from you to do such a thing— to kill the righteous with the wicked, treating the righteous and the wicked alike. Far be it from you! Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?” (niv)

Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelek, his wife and his female slaves so they could have children again,for the Lord had kept all the women in Abimelek’s household from conceiving because of Abraham’s wife Sarah. (niv)

How much more— when wicked men have killed an innocent man in his own house and on his own bed— should I not now demand his blood from your hand and rid the earth of you!” (niv)

Then God said to him in the dream,“ Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her. (niv)

Then the Lord rained down burning sulfur on Sodom and Gomorrah— from the Lord out of the heavens. (niv)
