Some time after these things God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am!” Abraham replied.

Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he replied.

Now it came about after these things, that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

Now it came to pass after these things that God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” And he said,“ Here I am.”

And it came to pass after these things, that God did prove Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham; and he said, Here am I.

After these things God tested Abraham and said to him,“ Abraham!”“ Here I am,” he answered.

And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold,[ here] I[ am].

After these things, God tested Abraham, and said to him,“ Abraham!” He said,“ Here I am.”

By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac. He had received the promises, yet he was ready to offer up his only son.

Remember the whole way by which he has brought you these forty years through the desert so that he might, by humbling you, test you to see if you have it within you to keep his commandments or not.

No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

Happy is the one who endures testing, because when he has proven to be genuine, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.Let no one say when he is tempted,“ I am tempted by God,” for God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.But each one is tempted when he is lured and enticed by his own desires.

Such trials show the proven character of your faith, which is much more valuable than gold– gold that is tested by fire, even though it is passing away– and will bring praise and glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Isaac said to his father Abraham,“ My father?”“ What is it, my son?” he replied.“ Here is the fire and the wood,” Isaac said,“ but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?”

fed you in the desert with manna( which your ancestors had never before known) so that he might by humbling you test you and eventually bring good to you.

The crucible is for refining silver and the furnace is for gold, likewise the LORD tests hearts.

But the LORD’s angel called to him from heaven,“ Abraham! Abraham!”“ Here I am!” he answered.

I heard the voice of the sovereign master say,“ Whom will I send? Who will go on our behalf?” I answered,“ Here I am, send me!”

You must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer, for the LORD your God will be testing you to see if you love him with all your mind and being.

So when the envoys arrived from the Babylonian officials to visit him and inquire about the sign that occurred in the land, God left him alone to test him, in order to know his true motives.

He cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When Moses threw it into the water, the water became safe to drink. There the Lord made for them a binding ordinance, and there he tested them.He said,“ If you will diligently obey the LORD your God, and do what is right in his sight, and pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, then all the diseases that I brought on the Egyptians I will not bring on you, for I, the LORD, am your healer.”

Joshua left those nations to test Israel. I wanted to see whether or not the people would carefully walk in the path marked out by the LORD, as their ancestors were careful to do.”

When the LORD saw that he had turned aside to look, God called to him from within the bush and said,“ Moses, Moses!” And Moses said,“ Here I am.”

The LORD’s anger again raged against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying,“ Go count Israel and Judah.”

Then the Lord said to Moses,“ I am going to rain bread from heaven for you, and the people will go out and gather the amount for each day, so that I may test them. Will they walk in my law or not?
