Abraham agreed to Ephron’s terms and weighed out for him the price he had named in the hearing of the Hittites: four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weight current among the merchants.

Abraham agreed to Ephron’s offer. He weighed out for Ephron the price he had named. The Hittites there had heard the amount. The price was ten pounds of silver. Abraham measured it by the weights that were used by merchants.

Abraham listened to Ephron, and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver that he had named in the hearing of the Hittites, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the weights current among the merchants.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and paid the amount he had suggested— 400 pieces of silver, weighed according to the market standard. The Hittite elders witnessed the transaction.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the hearing of the Hethites: four hundred standard shekels of silver.

Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out for Ephron the silver which he had named in the presence of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency acceptable to a merchant.

And Abraham listened to Ephron; and Abraham weighed out the silver for Ephron which he had named in the hearing of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, currency of the merchants.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the audience of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current money with the merchant.

Abraham agreed with Ephron, and Abraham weighed out to Ephron the silver that he had agreed to in the presence of the Hittites: 400 shekels of silver at the current commercial rate.

And Abraham hearkened unto Ephron; and Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver, which he had named in the audience of the sons of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, current[ money] with the merchant.

So Abraham agreed to Ephron’s price and weighed out for him the price that Ephron had quoted in the hearing of the sons of Heth– 400 pieces of silver, according to the standard measurement at the time.

Abraham listened to Ephron. Abraham weighed to Ephron the silver which he had named in the hearing of the children of Heth, four hundred shekels of silver, according to the current merchants’ standard.

我對他們說：「你們若認為好，就給我工錢，不然就算了。」於是，他們給了我三十塊銀子作工錢。

於是，我從堂兄弟哈拿篾手裡買了亞拿突的那塊田。我當著證人的面簽訂了契約，封好，秤了二百克銀子給他。

凡事都不可虧欠人，但在彼此相愛方面要常常覺得做得不夠。一個人愛別人，就成全了律法。

王及其謀士和將領，以及所有在場的以色列人獻給我們上帝殿的金銀和器皿，我都秤了交給他們。我交給他們的有二十二噸銀子、三點四噸銀器、三點四噸金子、共重八公斤半的二十個金碗和兩件貴重如金子的上等精銅器皿。我對他們說：「你們和這些器皿是獻給耶和華的，金銀是自願獻給你們祖先的上帝耶和華的禮物。你們要好好保管，護送到耶路撒冷耶和華殿的庫房裡，要在祭司長、利未人和以色列的各族長面前過秤。」於是，祭司和利未人接過這些稱過的金銀和器皿，要帶去耶路撒冷我們上帝的殿裡。

「所以，你們希望人怎樣待你們，就要怎樣待人，這是律法和先知的教導。

舍客勒是標準的重量單位，一舍客勒是二十季拉。六十舍客勒等於一彌那。

最後，弟兄姊妹，你們要思想一切真實、可敬、公義、純潔、可愛、有好名聲、有美德和值得讚許的事情。

金子買不到她，銀子換不來她；

凡被統計的人都要付六克銀子，即十季拉，以聖所的秤為準，作為獻給耶和華的禮物。

但在回家的途中住宿時，我們打開口袋，發現我們帶來買糧的錢分毫不少地放在那裡。我們把這些錢帶回來了，

「我主，請聽我說，四公斤半銀子的地對你我來說算什麼呢？去安葬你的妻子吧！」

你們在這種事上不可越軌，虧負弟兄姊妹。我們曾經對你們說過，並且鄭重地警告過你們，主必懲治犯這種罪的人。
