They answered,“ We saw clearly that the Lord was with you; so we said,‘ There ought to be a sworn agreement between us’— between us and you. Let us make a treaty with you

And they said, We saw plainly that Jehovah was with thee: and we said, Let there now be an oath betwixt us, even betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee,

They replied,“ We have clearly seen how the Lord has been with you. We think there should be an oath between two parties— between us and you. Let us make a covenant with you:

And they said, We saw certainly that the LORD was with thee: and we said, Let there be now an oath betwixt us,[ even] betwixt us and thee, and let us make a covenant with thee;

They replied,“ We could plainly see that the LORD is with you. So we decided there should be a pact between us– between us and you. Allow us to make a treaty with you

They said,“ We saw plainly that Yahweh was with you. We said,‘ Let there now be an oath between us, even between us and you, and let’s make a covenant with you,

耶和华说：“埃及的出产和古实的货物必归你所有。身材高大的西巴人必来归附你，戴着锁链跟在你身后。他们要向你下拜，在你面前恳求，并说，‘上帝真的与你们同在，祂独一无二，除祂以外，别无他神。’”

又叫米斯巴，因为拉班说：“我们分手以后，愿上帝亲自鉴察我们。倘若你虐待我的女儿，或在她们以外另娶妻子，即使没人知道，也有上帝在你我之间做见证。”拉班又说：“看我在你我之间立的这石堆和石柱。这石堆和石柱都是凭证，我一定不会越过石堆去害你，你也不可越过石堆和石柱来害我。愿亚伯拉罕和拿鹤的上帝，就是他们父亲的上帝，在你我之间判断是非。”雅各便在他父亲以撒敬畏的上帝面前起誓，

我要你凭耶和华——掌管天地的上帝起誓，你不会找这迦南的女子做我儿子的妻子。

对于这些事，我们还可以说什么呢？上帝若帮助我们，谁能与我们对抗？

人总是指着比自己更大的起誓，并用誓言作保证，了结各样的争论。

大卫的儿子所罗门巩固了自己的王位。因为他的上帝耶和华与他同在，使他极其伟大。

你们要被称为耶和华的祭司，我们上帝的臣仆。你们必享用各国的财宝，夸耀自己拥有他们的财富。

你去就是履行了你向我起的誓，如果我的亲族不肯把女子交给你，你也算履行了你向我起的誓。’

他们的后代必享誉列国，子孙必名闻万邦，看见的人都承认他们是蒙上帝赐福之民。”

欺压你之人的子孙要向你下拜，藐视你的人要在你脚前跪拜。他们要称你为耶和华的城，以色列圣者的锡安。

耶和华对约书亚说：“从今天开始，我要使你在以色列人面前得到尊荣，让他们知道我与你同在，正如从前我跟摩西同在一样。

自从埃及人波提乏派约瑟管理自己家中一切事务以后，耶和华因为约瑟的缘故而赐福他主人家，使他主人家里和田间的一切都蒙福。

不要贪爱钱财，要对自己拥有的知足，因为上帝说过：“我永不撇下你，也不离弃你。”

心中的秘密也会显露出来，便会俯伏敬拜上帝，说：“上帝真的在你们当中！”

所以，那地方被称为别示巴，因为他们二人在那里起了誓。他们立约以后，亚比米勒和他的将领非各便回非利士去了。
