請你們為我們禱告；因為我們自覺良心無虧，願意凡事按正道而行。

他若不聽，你就另外帶一個或兩個人同去，因為『任何指控都要憑兩個或三個證人的口述才能成立』。

既是這樣，你們若有今生當審判的事，會讓教會所輕看的人來審判嗎？我說這話是要使你們慚愧。難道你們中間沒有一個有智慧的人能審斷弟兄中的事嗎？

我在這裏，你們要在耶和華和他的受膏者面前為我作證，我奪過誰的牛，搶過誰的驢，欺負過誰，虐待過誰，從誰手裏收過賄賂而蒙蔽自己的眼目呢？若有，我必償還。」眾人說：「你未曾欺負我們，虐待我們，也未曾從任何人手裏收過任何東西。」

你們在外邦人中要品行端正，好讓那些人，雖然毀謗你們是作惡的，會因看見你們的好行為而在鑒察的日子歸榮耀給神。

不過，要以溫柔、敬畏的心回答。要存無虧的良心，使你們在何事上被毀謗，就在何事上使那些凌辱你們在基督裏有好品行的人自覺羞愧。

他們從帳棚裏把這些東西取出來，拿到約書亞和以色列眾人那裏，倒在耶和華面前。

至於你的神明，你若在誰那裏搜出來，就不讓誰活。當着我們弟兄面前，你認一認在我這裏有甚麼東西是你的，你就拿去吧。」原來雅各並不知道拉結偷了神明。

我們對你們信主的人是何等聖潔、正直、無可指責，這有你們作證，也有神作證。
