And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

神对雅各说：“起来，上伯特利去，住在那里；你要在那里筑一座坛给神，就是从前你逃避你哥哥以扫的时候，向你显现的那一位。”

神对雅各说：“起来，上伯特利去，住在那里；你要在那里造一座祭坛给神——他是你逃避你哥哥以扫的时候曾向你显现的那一位。”

神對雅各說：「起來！上伯特利去，住在那裏；要在那裏築一座壇給神，就是你逃避你哥哥以掃的時候向你顯現的那位。」

上帝對雅各說：「起來！上伯特利去，住在那裏。在那裏築一座壇給上帝，就是你逃避你哥哥以掃的時候向你顯現的上帝。」

神對雅各說：「起來！上伯特利去，住在那裏。在那裏築一座壇給神，就是你逃避你哥哥以掃的時候向你顯現的神。」

上帝對雅各說：「你到伯特利去住，你要在那裡為上帝築一座壇，祂在你逃避你哥哥以掃時曾向你顯現。」

上帝對雅各說：『起來，上伯特利去，住在那裏；在那裏造一座祭壇給上帝，你逃避你哥哥以掃時向你顯現的那位。』

Then God said to Jacob,“ Go up to Bethel and settle there, and build an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you were fleeing from your brother Esau.”

Then God said to Jacob,“ Go up to Bethel and live there. Build an altar there to honor me. That’s where I appeared to you when you were running away from your brother Esau.”

God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there. Make an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

Then God said to Jacob,“ Get ready and move to Bethel and settle there. Build an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother, Esau.”

God said to Jacob,“ Get up! Go to Bethel and settle there. Build an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

Then God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and live there, and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

Then God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel and dwell there; and make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.”

And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Beth- el, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, who appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

God said to Jacob,“ Get up! Go to Bethel and settle there. Build an altar there to the God who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

Then God said to Jacob,“ Go up at once to Bethel and live there. Make an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you fled from your brother Esau.”

God said to Jacob,“ Arise, go up to Bethel, and live there. Make there an altar to God, who appeared to you when you fled from the face of Esau your brother.”

For the LORD shall judge his people, and repent himself for his servants, when he seeth that[ their] power is gone, and[ there is] none shut up, or left.

Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him[ in] Bethel, and there he spake with us;

He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I[ will be] with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.

I[ am] the God of Bethel, where thou anointedst the pillar,[ and] where thou vowedst a vow unto me: now arise, get thee out from this land, and return unto the land of thy kindred.

God[ is] our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai;Unto the place of the altar, which he had made there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

And Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing wherewith his father blessed him: and Esau said in his heart, The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then will I slay my brother Jacob.And these words of Esau her elder son were told to Rebekah: and she sent and called Jacob her younger son, and said unto him, Behold, thy brother Esau, as touching thee, doth comfort himself,[ purposing] to kill thee.Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s fury turn away;Until thy brother’s anger turn away from thee, and he forget[ that] which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?

He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah.

And he said, Hagar, Sarai’s maid, whence camest thou? and whither wilt thou go? And she said, I flee from the face of my mistress Sarai.

And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent,[ having] Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

And the LORD said unto Jacob, Return unto the land of thy fathers, and to thy kindred; and I will be with thee.

When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for[ he hath] no pleasure in fools: pay that which thou hast vowed.Better[ is it] that thou shouldest not vow, than that thou shouldest vow and not pay.Suffer not thy mouth to cause thy flesh to sin; neither say thou before the angel, that it[ was] an error: wherefore should God be angry at thy voice, and destroy the work of thine hands?

And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said[ to] this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, and dwelt in the land of Midian: and he sat down by a well.

And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put[ them for] his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I[ am] the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.And, behold, I[ am] with thee, and will keep thee in all[ places] whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done[ that] which I have spoken to thee of.And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew[ it] not.And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful[ is] this place! this[ is] none other but the house of God, and this[ is] the gate of heaven.And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put[ for] his pillows, and set it up[ for] a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city[ was called] Luz at the first.And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:And this stone, which I have set[ for] a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

Behold upon the mountains the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace! O Judah, keep thy solemn feasts, perform thy vows: for the wicked shall no more pass through thee; he is utterly cut off.
