犹大对他的众弟兄说：“我们杀死弟弟、掩盖罪行有什么益处呢？

犹大对他的众兄弟说：“我们杀了我们的兄弟，把他的血隐藏起来，究竟有什么益处呢？

犹大对他的兄弟们说：“如果我们杀了自己的兄弟，掩盖他的血，有什么好处呢？

猶大對眾弟兄說：「我們殺我們的兄弟，藏了他的血有甚麼益處呢？

Judah said to his brothers,“ What will we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

Judah said to his brothers,“ What will we gain if we kill our brother and try to cover up what we’ve done?

Then Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

Judah said to his brothers,“ What will we gain by killing our brother? We’d have to cover up the crime.

Judah said to his brothers,“ What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

And Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it for us to kill our brother and cover up his blood?

So Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is there if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit is it if we slay our brother and conceal his blood?

Then Judah said to his brothers,“ What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

And Judah said unto his brethren, What profit[ is it] if we slay our brother, and conceal his blood?

Then Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is there if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?

Judah said to his brothers,“ What profit is it if we kill our brother and conceal his blood?

“ Come now, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns and say that a ferocious animal devoured him. Then we’ll see what comes of his dreams.” (niv)

The Lord said,“ What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground. (niv)

“ Earth, do not cover my blood; may my cry never be laid to rest! (niv)

For David had said to him,“ Your blood be on your own head. Your own mouth testified against you when you said,‘ I killed the Lord’s anointed.’” (niv)

“‘ For the blood she shed is in her midst: She poured it on the bare rock; she did not pour it on the ground, where the dust would cover it. (niv)

“ Look, I am about to die,” Esau said.“ What good is the birthright to me?” (niv)

If cases come before your courts that are too difficult for you to judge— whether bloodshed, lawsuits or assaults— take them to the place the Lord your God will choose. (niv)

What good will it be for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? Or what can anyone give in exchange for their soul? (niv)

What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! (niv)

“ What is gained if I am silenced, if I go down to the pit? Will the dust praise you? Will it proclaim your faithfulness? (niv)

But ten of them said to Ishmael,“ Don’t kill us! We have wheat and barley, olive oil and honey, hidden in a field.” So he let them alone and did not kill them with the others. (niv)
