Then he went back to his brothers and lamented,“ The boy is gone! What will I do now?”

回到他的兄弟们那里，说：“那孩子不在了，而我该何去何从？”

回到兄弟們那裏，說：「童子沒有了。我往哪裏去才好呢？」

He went back to his brothers and said,“ The boy isn’t there! Where can I turn now?”

He went back to his brothers and said,“ The boy isn’t there! Now what should I do?”

and returned to his brothers and said,“ The boy is gone, and I, where shall I go?”

He went back to his brothers and said,“ The boy is gone! What am I going to do?”

He returned to his brothers and said,“ The boy is not there; as for me, where am I to go?”

And he returned to his brothers and said,“ The lad is no more; and I, where shall I go?”

And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child is not; and I, whither shall I go?

He went back to his brothers and said,“ The boy is gone! What am I going to do?”

And he returned unto his brethren, and said, The child[ is] not; and I, whither shall I go?

returned to his brothers, and said,“ The boy isn’t there! And I, where can I go?”

He returned to his brothers, and said,“ The child is no more; and I, where will I go?”

“ Sir,” they said,“ there are actually twelve of us. We, your servants, are all brothers, sons of a man living in the land of Canaan. Our youngest brother is back there with our father right now, and one of our brothers is no longer with us.”

This is what the Lord says:“ A cry is heard in Ramah— deep anguish and bitter weeping. Rachel weeps for her children, refusing to be comforted— for her children are gone.”

We are twelve brothers, sons of one father. One brother is no longer with us, and the youngest is at home with our father in the land of Canaan.’

As they emptied out their sacks, there in each man’s sack was the bag of money he had paid for the grain! The brothers and their father were terrified when they saw the bags of money.Jacob exclaimed,“ You are robbing me of my children! Joseph is gone! Simeon is gone! And now you want to take Benjamin, too. Everything is going against me!”

“ Come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of these cisterns. We can tell our father,‘ A wild animal has eaten him.’ Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!”
