家之中我為督、我有作為、主不禁禦、但汝乃其妻、我不可犯。安可自干元惡、獲罪於上帝。

此家之人莫大於我、爾既為主人之妻、除爾之外皆付於我、我豈敢作此大惡、獲罪於天主乎、

No one is greater in this house than I am. My master has withheld nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

No one in this house is in a higher position than I am. My master hasn’t held anything back from me, except you. You are his wife. So how could I do an evil thing like that? How could I sin against God?”

He is not greater in this house than I am, nor has he kept back anything from me except you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?”

No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.”

大衛對拿單說：「我對耶和華犯了罪！」拿單對大衛說：「耶和華已經除去你的罪，你不會死。

第三天，約瑟對他們說：「我是敬畏神的，你們這樣做就可以活命：

我對你，唯獨對你犯了罪，我做了你眼中看為惡的事；因此你說話的時候就顯為公義，你審判的時候就顯為清正。

神藉著夢對他說：「是的，我知道你做這事心中純正，也是我攔阻了你，免得你對我犯罪；因此我沒有讓你碰她。

那與鄰人妻子同房的也是如此；所有碰她的，都難逃罪責。

在這裡，進一步要求管家們的是，各人都要被看做是忠心的。

凡是由神所生的，不繼續犯罪，因為神的種子住在他裡面；他也不能繼續犯罪，因為他是由神所生的。

不可私拿東西，反要顯出所有美好的忠信，好在一切事上為神我們救主的教導增添光彩。

但那因為不知道而做了該打之事的人，將會受很少鞭打。所以誰被賜予的多，將來向誰索取的也多；託給誰多，將來向誰要求的也更多。

婚姻當受所有人尊重，床也不可玷汙，因為神將要審判淫亂和通姦的人。

哀悼的日子過了，大衛派人去把她接到宮裡，她就作了大衛的妻子，為他生了一個兒子。大衛所做的這事，在耶和華眼中看為惡。

肉體的行為是清清楚楚的，它們就是：通姦、淫亂、汙穢、好色、拜偶像、行邪術、仇恨、紛爭、嫉恨、暴怒、爭競、分裂、結派、嫉妒、凶殺、醉酒、荒宴以及類似這樣的事。對這些事，我現在要預先告訴你們，就像我以前告訴過你們的那樣：行這些事的人不會繼承神的國。

那些犬類、行邪術的、淫亂的、殺人的、拜偶像的，以及所有愛虛假、行虛假的人，都在外面。

難道你們不知道，不義的人不會繼承神的國嗎？不要被迷惑了！無論是淫亂的、拜偶像的、通姦的、做孌童的、同性戀的、偷竊的、貪心的、酗酒的、誹謗人的、勒索人的，都不會繼承神的國。

但那些膽怯的、不信的、可憎的、殺人的、淫亂的、行邪術的、拜偶像的，和所有說謊的人，他們的份就在燃燒著烈火和硫磺的湖裡。這是第二次的死亡。」

你要管理我的家；我所有的子民都要順從你的話；只有在寶座上的我比你大。」

亞伯拉罕對管理他所有家業、家中最大的僕人說：「請你把手放在我大腿底下，

與女人通姦的，缺乏心智；行這事的，毀滅自己。

神藉著夜間的一個夢來到亞比米勒那裡，對他說：「看哪，因你接來的那女人的緣故，你就要死了！她是個有夫之婦！」
