On the third day, Joseph said to them,“ Do this and you will live, for I fear God: (niv)

Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge. (niv)

Then God said to him in the dream,“ Yes, I know you did this with a clear conscience, and so I have kept you from sinning against me. That is why I did not let you touch her. (niv)

“ But if you fail to do this, you will be sinning against the Lord; and you may be sure that your sin will find you out. (niv)

So is he who sleeps with another man’s wife; no one who touches her will go unpunished. (niv)

Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. (niv)

They are well-fed, lusty stallions, each neighing for another man’s wife.Should I not punish them for this?” declares the Lord.“ Should I not avenge myself on such a nation as this? (niv)

No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God. (niv)

“ If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Lord by deceiving a neighbor about something entrusted to them or left in their care or about something stolen, or if they cheat their neighbor, (niv)

and not to steal from them, but to show that they can be fully trusted, so that in every way they will make the teaching about God our Savior attractive. (niv)

But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. (niv)

For I dreaded destruction from God, and for fear of his splendor I could not do such things. (niv)

Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. (niv)

After the time of mourning was over, David had her brought to his house, and she became his wife and bore him a son. But the thing David had done displeased the Lord. (niv)

The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factionsand envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. (niv)

But the earlier governors— those preceding me— placed a heavy burden on the people and took forty shekels of silver from them in addition to food and wine. Their assistants also lorded it over the people. But out of reverence for God I did not act like that. (niv)

Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (niv)

Therefore this is what the Lord says:‘ I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. This very year you are going to die, because you have preached rebellion against the Lord.’” (niv)

“‘ If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife— with the wife of his neighbor— both the adulterer and the adulteress are to be put to death. (niv)

But I said,“ Should a man like me run away? Or should someone like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!” (niv)

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with mennor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. (niv)

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars— they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.” (niv)

You shall be in charge of my palace, and all my people are to submit to your orders. Only with respect to the throne will I be greater than you.” (niv)

He said to the senior servant in his household, the one in charge of all that he had,“ Put your hand under my thigh. (niv)

But a man who commits adultery has no sense; whoever does so destroys himself. (niv)

But God came to Abimelek in a dream one night and said to him,“ You are as good as dead because of the woman you have taken; she is a married woman.” (niv)
