Then Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, a place where the king’s prisoners were confined. And he was there in the prison.

Now there was a young Hebrew man with us there, a servant of the captain of the guard. And we told him, and he interpreted our dreams for us; to each man he interpreted according to his own dream.

But he refused and said to his master’s wife,“ Look, my master does not know what is with me in the house, and he has committed all that he has to my hand.There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”So it was, as she spoke to Joseph day by day, that he did not heed her, to lie with her or to be with her.But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside,that she caught him by his garment, saying,“ Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside.

for fornicators, for sodomites, for kidnappers, for liars, for perjurers, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,

Jesus answered them,“ Many good works I have shown you from My Father. For which of those works do you stone Me?”

“ If a man is found kidnapping any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and mistreats him or sells him, then that kidnapper shall die; and you shall put away the evil from among you.

My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.”

But this happened that the word might be fulfilled which is written in their law,‘ They hated Me without a cause.’
