But Pharaoh had a pole stuck through the chief baker’s body. Then he had the pole set up. Everything happened just as Joseph had told them when he explained their dreams.

至于那奥秘的事显明给我，并非因我的智慧胜过一切活人，乃为使王知道梦的讲解和心里的思念。

得梦的先知可以述说那梦；得我话的人可以诚实讲说我的话。糠秕怎能与麦子比较呢？这是耶和华说的。”

我们二人同夜各做一梦，各梦都有讲解。在那里同着我们有一个希伯来的少年人，是护卫长的仆人，我们告诉他，他就把我们的梦圆解，是按着各人的梦圆解的。后来正如他给我们圆解的成就了：我官复原职，膳长被挂起来了。”

在他里头有美好的灵性，又有知识聪明，能圆梦，释谜语，解疑惑。这人名叫但以理，尼布甲尼撒王又称他为伯提沙撒，现在可以召他来，他必解明这意思。”

这奥秘的事就在夜间异象中给但以理显明，但以理便称颂天上的神。但以理说：“神的名是应当称颂的！从亘古直到永远，因为智慧能力都属乎他。他改变时候、日期，废王，立王，将智慧赐与智慧人，将知识赐与聪明人。他显明深奥隐秘的事，知道暗中所有的，光明也与他同居。我列祖的神啊，我感谢你，赞美你；因你将智慧才能赐给我，允准我们所求的，把王的事给我们指明。”

你们挂在木头上杀害的耶稣，我们祖宗的神已经叫他复活。

他们对他说：“我们各人做了一梦，没有人能解。”约瑟说：“解梦不是出于神吗？请你们将梦告诉我。”

约瑟回答法老说：“这不在乎我，神必将平安的话回答法老。”
