When all Egypt began to feel the famine, the people cried to Pharaoh for food. Then Pharaoh told all the Egyptians,“ Go to Joseph and do what he tells you.”

野犬猶出其乳、以哺厥子兮、惟我民女殘忍、若野間之鴕鳥兮、哺乳之嬰、厥舌燥渴而黏腭兮、稚子求餅、無人擘而予之兮、素食珍饈者、今伶仃於街衢兮、素寢朱褥者、今偃臥於糞壤兮、我民女之愆尤、重於所多瑪之罪惡兮、彼傾覆於俄頃、非人手加之兮、昔彼之那細珥人、潔於雪、白於乳兮、其體紅於珊瑚、形若光澤之碧玉兮、今其容黑於炭、街市無人識之兮、其膚貼骨、枯槁如柴兮、戮於刃者、較死於飢者猶幸兮、因乏田間之產、日漸衰弱、如被刺兮、慈婦手烹其子女兮、我民女遭滅時、以此為糧兮、

治民之王、遣人釋之、俾其自由兮、立為冢宰、治其所有兮、隨意約束羣臣、以智訓迪耆老兮、

蓋父喜以諸豐盛寓於其中、

爾可治我家、我民舉止、咸遵爾命、我尊於爾、只在國位、又曰、我立爾統轄埃及、

我上帝將充裕爾之所需、依其榮之富有、在基督耶穌中者、

夫道成人身、寓我儕中、充以恩寵真理、我儕見其榮、如天父獨生子之榮焉、約翰為之證、呼曰、我言後我來者、乃為我先、以其先我而在、即斯人也、由其所充者、我儕皆有所受、即恩之有加無已矣、
