Then he remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see where our land is unprotected.”

Then Joseph remembered his dreams about them. So he said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the places where our land isn’t guarded very well.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams that he had dreamed of them. And he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to see the nakedness of the land.”

And he remembered the dreams he’d had about them many years before. He said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see how vulnerable our land has become.”

Joseph remembered his dreams about them and said to them,“ You are spies. You have come to see the weakness of the land.”

And Joseph remembered the dreams which he had about them, and he said to them,“ You are spies; you have come to look at the undefended parts of our land.”

Then Joseph remembered the dreams which he had dreamed about them, and said to them,“ You are spies! You have come to see the nakedness of the land!”

约瑟作了一个梦，把梦告诉哥哥们，他们就越发恨他。约瑟对他们说：“请听我所作的这个梦：我们正在田间捆麦子，我的麦捆忽然站立起来，你们的麦捆都来围着我的下拜。”他的哥哥们对他说：“你真的要作我们的王吗？真的要管辖我们吗？”他们就为了约瑟的梦和他的话，越发恨他。后来约瑟又作了一个梦，也把梦向哥哥们述说了。他说：“我又作了一个梦，我梦见太阳、月亮和十一颗星向我下拜。”

窥探的人看见一个人从城里出来，就对他说：“请你把进城的路指示我们，我们必恩待你。”

那两个年轻密探就进去，把喇合和她的父母、兄弟、她所有的一切，以及她所有的亲属，都领出来，安置在以色列的营外。

耶和华击杀人民是因为他们敬拜亚伦做的牛犊。

以上是摩西派去窥探那地的人的名字。摩西称嫩的儿子何西亚为约书亚。摩西派他们去窥探迦南地，对他们说：“你们要从这里上南地，然后上山地去。看看那地怎样，住在那里的人是强是弱，是多是少；看看他们住的地怎样，是好是坏；看看他们所住的城镇怎样，是营地，还是城堡；看看那地怎样，是肥沃还是贫瘠，那里有树木没有。你们要壮胆，把那地的果子带些回来。”那时正是葡萄初熟的时候。

然后把你们最小的弟弟带到我这里来，我就知道你们不是间谍，而是诚实人了。这样，我就把你们的兄弟交还给你们，你们也可以在这地自由来往。’”

“你要派人窥探我赐给以色列人的迦南地；按着父家所属的支派，每支派要派一个人，个个都必须是他们的领袖。”

因着信，妓女喇合和和平平接待了侦察的人，就没有和那些不顺从的人一起灭亡。

经学家和祭司长差派奸细伪装好人去窥探耶稣，要在他的话上抓着把柄，好把他交由总督全权裁决。

于是，嫩的儿子约书亚从什亭秘密地差派两个探子，对他们说：“你们去窥探那地，尤其是耶利哥。”二人去了，来到一个名叫喇合的妓女家中，就在那里住宿。

“那地的主人对我们说了一些严厉的话，把我们当作侦察那地的间谍。我们对他说：‘我们是诚实人，并不是间谍。

就派出探子，知道扫罗已经到了纳康。

你们可以派你们中间一个人回去，把你们的弟弟带来；其余的人都要囚禁起来，好证明你们的话真实不真实。如果不真实，我指着法老的性命起誓，你们就是间谍。”
