When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the steward of his house,“ Take these men to my house, slaughter an animal and prepare a meal; they are to eat with me at noon.”

When Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he spoke to the manager of his house.“ Take these men to my house,” he said.“ Kill an animal and prepare a meal. I want them to eat with me at noon.”

约瑟吩咐管家说：“把粮食装满这些人的布袋，要尽他们所能携带的，又把各人的银子放在他们的袋口；

他们于是走近约瑟的管家，在屋门口与他说话。

以撒就为他们摆设筵席，他们就一起吃喝。

它宰杀牲口，调配美酒，摆设筵席。

雅各又在山上献祭，叫了自己的众兄弟来吃饭。他们吃了饭，就在山上过夜。

我怎能把我的饼、我的水，和我为剪羊毛的人宰杀的肉，给那些我不知道从哪里来的人呢？”

约瑟就得主人的欢心，服事他的主人。他主人指派他管理他的家，把自己所有的一切都交在他手里。自从主人指派约瑟管理他的家，和他所有的一切，耶和华就因约瑟的缘故，赐福给那埃及人的家。他家里和田间所有的一切，都蒙耶和华赐福。

亚伯拉罕对他家中最老的，管理他所有产业的那仆人说：“请把你的手放在我的大腿底下。我要你指着耶和华天地的神起誓，不可从我现在居住的迦南人中，为我的儿子娶他们的女子为妻。你却要到我的故乡、我的亲族那里去，为我的儿子以撒娶妻。”仆人问亚伯拉罕：“如果那女子不愿跟我到这地方来，我必须把你的儿子带回你原出之地去吗？”亚伯拉罕对他说：“你要谨慎，切不可带我的儿子回到那里去。耶和华天上的神，就是领我离开我的父家和我亲族之地，曾经对我说话，又向我起誓的那位说：‘我必把这地赐给你的后裔。’他必在你前面差派他的使者，你就可以从那里为我的儿子娶妻。如果那女子不愿跟你来，我叫你所起的这誓就与你无关了。只是不可带我的儿子回到那里去。”于是，仆人把手放在他主人亚伯拉罕的大腿下，为这事向亚伯拉罕起誓。那仆人从他主人的骆驼里取了十匹骆驼，带着主人各样的美物，起程往两河之间的亚兰去，到了拿鹤的城。

亚伯兰说：“主耶和华啊，我一向都没有孩子，你还能赐给我什么呢？这样，承受我家业的，就是大马士革人以利以谢了。”

他们出了城，走了不远，约瑟就对管家说：“起来，追赶那些人；追上了，就对他们说：‘你为什么以恶报善呢？

孩子渐渐长大，就断了奶。以撒断奶的那天，亚伯拉罕摆设盛大的筵席。
