說：「我主啊，求求你，我們當初下來，真的是要買糧食。

「先生，我們上次曾來這裡買糧。

他們說：“先生啊，我們頭一次下來，實在是要買糧食的。

說：『對不住，我主，我們起先下來，買糧食。

他們說：「哦，我主啊，頭一次我們真是下來買糧的。

吾主、昔我來此乞糴、

長者與、昔我來此乞糴。

主歟、昔我來此糴糧、

“ We beg your pardon, our lord,” they said,“ we came down here the first time to buy food.

“ Please, sir,” they said.“ We came down here the first time to buy food.

and said,“ Oh, my lord, we came down the first time to buy food.

“ Sir,” they said,“ we came to Egypt once before to buy food.

They said,“ My lord, we really did come down here the first time only to buy food.

and said,“ Oh, my lord, we indeed came down the first time to buy food,

and said,“ O sir, we indeed came down the first time to buy food;

and said, Oh, my lord, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:

They said,“ Sir, we really did come down here the first time only to buy food.

And said, O sir, we came indeed down at the first time to buy food:

They said,“ My lord, we did indeed come down the first time to buy food.

and said,“ Oh, my lord, we indeed came down the first time to buy food.

Then ten of Joseph’s brothers went down to buy grain from Egypt. (niv)

“ No, my lord,” they answered.“ Your servants have come to buy food. (niv)

They replied,“ The man questioned us closely about ourselves and our family.‘ Is your father still living?’ he asked us.‘ Do you have another brother?’ We simply answered his questions. How were we to know he would say,‘ Bring your brother down here’?” (niv)

At the place where they stopped for the night one of them opened his sack to get feed for his donkey, and he saw his silver in the mouth of his sack. (niv)

But Judah said to him,“ The man warned us solemnly,‘ You will not see my face again unless your brother is with you.’ (niv)

As they were emptying their sacks, there in each man’s sack was his pouch of silver! When they and their father saw the money pouches, they were frightened. (niv)
