猶大對他說：「那人嚴厲地警告我們，『要是你們的弟弟不與你們一起來，你們就不得見我的面。』

But Judah said to him,“ The man warned us solemnly,‘ You will not see my face again unless your brother is with you.’

But Judah said to him,“ The man gave us a strong warning. He said,‘ You won’t see my face again unless your brother Benjamin is with you.’

But Judah said to him,“ The man solemnly warned us, saying,‘ You shall not see my face unless your brother is with you.’

But Judah said,“ The man was serious when he warned us,‘ You won’t see my face again unless your brother is with you.’

Judah spoke to him, however, saying,“ The man sternly warned us,‘ You shall not see my face unless your brother is with you.’

And Judah spake unto him, saying, The man did solemnly protest unto us, saying, Ye shall not see my face, except your brother be with you.

Absalom lived two years in Jerusalem without seeing the king’s face. (niv)

What grieved them most was his statement that they would never see his face again. Then they accompanied him to the ship. (niv)

“ Then the man who is lord over the land said to us,‘ This is how I will know whether you are honest men: Leave one of your brothers here with me, and take food for your starving households and go.But bring your youngest brother to me so I will know that you are not spies but honest men.
