设宴是为欢笑，酒能使人生快活，金钱能解决万事。

要把烈酒给将要灭亡的人喝；把酒给心里愁苦的人喝；

我的妹妹，我的新妇啊！我进了我的园中；我采了我的没药与香料；我吃了我的蜂房与蜂蜜；我喝了我的酒和奶。朋友们！你们要开怀吃喝；亲爱的啊！你们要不醉无归。

人子来了，又吃又喝，人却说：‘你看，这人贪食好酒，与税吏和罪人为友。’但智慧藉着它所作的，就证实是公义的了。”

你只管快快乐乐地去吃你的饭，怀着高兴的心去喝你的酒，因为神已经悦纳了你所作的。

对他说：“人人都是先摆上好酒，等到亲友喝够了，才摆上次等的，你倒把好酒留到现在。”
