“ What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied.“ How can we plead? How can we justify ourselves? God has exposed your servants’ iniquity. We are now my lord’s slaves— both we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

犹大说：“我们对我主说什么呢？还有什么话可说呢？我们怎能自己表白出来呢？神已经查出仆人的罪孽了。我们与那在他手中搜出杯来的都是我主的奴仆。”

犹大说：“我们对我主能说什么呢？还有什么话可说呢？我们还能为自己表白吗？上帝已经查出你仆人的罪孽了。看哪，我们与那在他手中找到杯子的人都是我主的奴隶。”

犹大说：“我们能对我主说什么呢？我们还有什么话可说呢？我们如何洗脱罪名呢？上帝既然查出你仆人们的罪，我们跟那个被发现有银杯的弟弟一起做我主的奴仆吧！”

犹大说：“我们对我主可以说什么呢？我们还有什么可说的呢？我们怎能证明自己是清白的呢？神已经查出你仆人们的罪孽了。看哪，我们和那在他手里搜出杯来的，都是我主的奴仆了。”

犹大说：“我们能对我主说什么呢？我们还能说什么呢？我们怎能证明自己无辜呢？神找出了你仆人们的罪孽。看哪，无论是我们还是从他手中找到杯子的那个人，现在都是我主的奴仆了！”

猶大說：「我們對我主說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們怎能自己表白出來呢？神已經查出僕人的罪孽了。我們與那在他手中搜出杯來的都是我主的奴僕。」

猶大說：「我們對我主能說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們還能為自己表白嗎？上帝已經查出你僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們與那在他手中找到杯子的人都是我主的奴隸。」

猶大說：「我們對我主能說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們還能為自己表白嗎？神已經查出你僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們與那在他手中找到杯子的人都是我主的奴隸。」

猶大說：「我們能對我主說什麼呢？我們還有什麼話可說呢？我們如何洗脫罪名呢？上帝既然查出你僕人們的罪，我們跟那個被發現有銀杯的弟弟一起做我主的奴僕吧！」

猶大說：“我們對我主可以說甚麼呢？我們還有甚麼可說的呢？我們怎能證明自己是清白的呢？神已經查出你僕人們的罪孽了。看哪，我們和那在他手裡搜出杯來的，都是我主的奴僕了。”

猶大說：『我們對我主還說甚麼呢？還有甚麼話可說呢？我們怎能自表為正直呢？上帝已經查出僕人的罪孽了。看哪，我們都是我主的奴僕了：不但那杯在他手中找着的那人而已，我們也都是。』

猶大說：「我們能對我主說什麼呢？我們還能說什麼呢？我們怎能證明自己無辜呢？神找出了你僕人們的罪孽。看哪，無論是我們還是從他手中找到杯子的那個人，現在都是我主的奴僕了！」

猶大曰、我儕於主、夫復何言、尚有何辭、焉能自解、上帝摘僕之咎、獲爵於其手者、與我儕咸為主之奴、

猶大曰、我儕告主、豈尚有言辭、焉能自伸、上帝摘僕之咎。遇有爵於其手者、與我儕咸為主之奴。

猶大曰、天主察僕等之罪、我儕於我主前尚有何言、尚有何辯、尚能自明無罪乎、獲爵於其手者、則彼與我儕咸為我主之奴、

“ What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied.“ What can we say? How can we prove our innocence? God has uncovered your servants’ guilt. We are now my lord’s slaves— we ourselves and the one who was found to have the cup.”

“ What can we say to you?” Judah replied.“ What can we say? How can we prove we haven’t done anything wrong? God has shown you that we are guilty. We are now your slaves. All of us are, including the one found to have the cup.”

And Judah said,“ What shall we say to my lord? What shall we speak? Or how can we clear ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord’s servants, both we and he also in whose hand the cup has been found.”

Judah answered,“ Oh, my lord, what can we say to you? How can we explain this? How can we prove our innocence? God is punishing us for our sins. My lord, we have all returned to be your slaves— all of us, not just our brother who had your cup in his sack.”

So Judah said,“ What can we say to my lord? What words can we speak? And how can we justify ourselves? God has found out the guilt of your servants; behold, we are my lord’s slaves, both we and the one in whose possession the cup has been found.”

Then Judah said,“ What shall we say to my Lord? What shall we speak? Or how shall we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants; here we are, my lord’s slaves, both we and he also with whom the cup was found.”

And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we are my lord’s bondmen, both we, and he also in whose hand the cup is found.

“ What can we say to my lord?” Judah replied.“ How can we plead? How can we justify ourselves? God has exposed your servants’ iniquity. We are now my lord’s slaves— both we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

And Judah said, What shall we say unto my lord? what shall we speak? or how shall we clear ourselves? God hath found out the iniquity of thy servants: behold, we[ are] my lord’s servants, both we, and[ he] also with whom the cup is found.

Judah replied,“ What can we say to my lord? What can we speak? How can we clear ourselves? God has exposed the sin of your servants! We are now my lord’s slaves, we and the one in whose possession the cup was found.”

Judah said,“ What will we tell my lord? What will we speak? How will we clear ourselves? God has found out the iniquity of your servants. Behold, we are my lord’s slaves, both we and he also in whose hand the cup is found.”

If it is found with one of us, your servants, he must die, and the rest of us will become my lord’s slaves.”

Lord, righteousness belongs to you, but this day public shame belongs to us: the men of Judah, the residents of Jerusalem, and all Israel— those who are near and those who are far, in all the countries where you have banished them because of the disloyalty they have shown toward you.

But if you don’t do this, you will certainly sin against the LORD; be sure your sin will catch up with you.

There is nothing covered that won’t be uncovered, nothing hidden that won’t be made known.

Your servant became accountable to my father for the boy, saying,‘ If I do not return him to you, I will always bear the guilt for sinning against you, my father.’

Acquitting the guilty and condemning the just— both are detestable to the LORD.

Therefore Jacob’s iniquity will be atoned for in this way, and the result of the removal of his sin will be this: when he makes all the altar stones like crushed bits of chalk, no Asherah poles or incense altars will remain standing.

For you will be judged by the same standard with which you judge others, and you will be measured by the same measure you use.

Then they said to each other,“ Obviously, we are being punished for what we did to our brother. We saw his deep distress when he pleaded with us, but we would not listen. That is why this trouble has come to us.”But Reuben replied,“ Didn’t I tell you not to harm the boy? But you wouldn’t listen. Now we must account for his blood!”

Then he had another dream and told it to his brothers.“ Look,” he said,“ I had another dream, and this time the sun, moon, and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”

I am so insignificant. How can I answer you? I place my hand over my mouth.

The Israelites, however, were unfaithful regarding the things set apart for destruction. Achan son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of what was set apart, and the LORD’s anger burned against the Israelites.

LORD God of Israel, you are righteous, for we survive as a remnant today. Here we are before you with our guilt, though no one can stand in your presence because of this.

They saw him in the distance, and before he had reached them, they plotted to kill him.They said to one another,“ Oh, look, here comes that dream expert!So now, come on, let’s kill him and throw him into one of the pits. We can say that a vicious animal ate him. Then we’ll see what becomes of his dreams!”When Reuben heard this, he tried to save him from them. He said,“ Let’s not take his life.”Reuben also said to them,“ Don’t shed blood. Throw him into this pit in the wilderness, but don’t lay a hand on him”— intending to rescue him from them and return him to his father.When Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped off Joseph’s robe, the robe of many colors that he had on.Then they took him and threw him into the pit. The pit was empty, without water.They sat down to eat a meal, and when they looked up, there was a caravan of Ishmaelites coming from Gilead. Their camels were carrying aromatic gum, balsam, and resin, going down to Egypt.Judah said to his brothers,“ What do we gain if we kill our brother and cover up his blood?Come on, let’s sell him to the Ishmaelites and not lay a hand on him, for he is our brother, our own flesh,” and his brothers agreed.When Midianite traders passed by, his brothers pulled Joseph out of the pit and sold him for twenty pieces of silver to the Ishmaelites, who took Joseph to Egypt.

Someone burdened by bloodguilt will be a fugitive until death. Let no one help him.

There we were, binding sheaves of grain in the field. Suddenly my sheaf stood up, and your sheaves gathered around it and bowed down to my sheaf.”

“ If there is a dispute between men, they are to go to court, and the judges will hear their case. They will clear the innocent and condemn the guilty.

When they heard this, they were pierced to the heart and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles,“ Brothers, what should we do?”

Adoni-bezek said,“ Seventy kings with their thumbs and big toes cut off used to pick up scraps under my table. God has repaid me for what I have done.” They brought him to Jerusalem, and he died there.

He then had Zabdi’s family come forward man by man, and Achan son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, was selected.

Then Judah said to his father Israel,“ Send the boy with me. We will be on our way so that we may live and not die— neither we, nor you, nor our dependents.I will be responsible for him. You can hold me personally accountable! If I do not bring him back to you and set him before you, I will be guilty before you forever.

Now, our God, what can we say in light of this? For we have abandoned the commands

So now, residents of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.
