爾當告曰、僕自幼至今、上溯祖宗、以養牲為業、如是、爾必得居歌珊地、因凡牧羊之人俱為伊及人所憎、約瑟往見法老、告曰、我之父兄、以牛羊與凡所有自迦南地至、今在歌珊地、約瑟在兄弟中選五人、引見法老、法老問約瑟兄弟曰、爾何業、對曰、僕等與祖俱牧羊、又對法老曰、迦南地饑甚、無芻牧畜、故僕來此旅居、今求許僕居歌珊地、法老謂約瑟曰、爾之父兄既來此、伊及地在爾前、可以國中膏腴之地、居爾父兄、使之居歌珊地、爾知其中有才能者、使之司我群畜、

惟以色列人所居之歌珊地無雹、
