以色列的儿子们就照样作了。约瑟照着法老所吩咐的，给了他们一些车辆和路上用的食物。

现在我再吩咐你对他们说：‘你们要这样作：从埃及地带些车辆回去，用来接你们的孩子和妻子，并且把你们的父亲接来。

他们就把约瑟对他们所说的一切话，都告诉了他。他们的父亲雅各看见了约瑟派来接他的车辆，心才甦醒过来。

法老就把摩西召了来，说：“你们去事奉耶和华吧，你们的孩子也可以与你们同去；只是要把你们的羊群和牛群留下来。”

我们的牲畜也要与我们同去，连一只也不留下；因为我们要从它们当中取出一些来事奉耶和华我们的神；我们没有到达之前，还不知道要用什么事奉耶和华。”

于是雅各下了埃及。后来他和我们祖先都死了，

于是雅各起来，叫他的儿女和妻子们都骑上骆驼。又赶着他所有的牲畜，带着他所得的一切财物，就是他在巴旦．亚兰所得的一切牲畜，要到迦南地，他父亲以撒那里去。
