按着定命，人人都有一死，死后且有审判。

谁能常活免死、救他的灵魂脱离阴间的权柄呢？细拉

人若死了岂能再活呢？我只要在我一切争战的日子，等我被释放的时候来到。

于是雅各下了埃及，后来他和我们的祖宗都死在那里；又被带到示剑，葬于亚伯拉罕在示剑用银子从哈抹子孙买来的坟墓里。

约瑟因着信，临终的时候，提到以色列族将来要出埃及，并为自己的骸骨留下遗命。

我们都是必死的，如同水泼在地上，不能收回。神并不夺取人的性命，乃设法使逃亡的人不致成为赶出、回不来的。

因为，在死地无人记念你，在阴间有谁称谢你？

你必汗流满面才得糊口，直到你归了土，因为你是从土而出的。你本是尘土，仍要归于尘土。”

我知道要使我临到死地，到那为众生所定的阴宅。

雅各对法老说：“我寄居在世的年日是一百三十岁，我平生的年日又少又苦，不及我列祖在世寄居的年日。”

你寿数满足、与你列祖同睡的时候，我必使你的后裔接续你的位；我也必坚定他的国。
