“ Swear to me,” he said. Then Joseph swore to him, and Israel worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff.

“ Give me your word that you will do it,” Jacob said. So Joseph gave him his word. And Israel worshiped God as he leaned on the top of his walking stick.

And he said,“ Swear to me”; and he swore to him. Then Israel bowed himself upon the head of his bed.

“ Swear that you will do it,” Jacob insisted. So Joseph gave his oath, and Jacob bowed humbly at the head of his bed.

And Jacob said,“ Swear to me.” So Joseph swore to him. Then Israel bowed in thanks at the head of his bed.

And he said,“ Swear to me.” So he swore to him. Then Israel bowed in worship at the head of the bed.

Then he said,“ Swear to me.” And he swore to him. So Israel bowed himself on the head of the bed.

And he said, Swear unto me: and he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head.

And Jacob said,“ Swear to me.” So Joseph swore to him. Then Israel bowed in thanks at the head of his bed.

And he said, Swear unto me. And he sware unto him. And Israel bowed himself upon the bed’s head.

Jacob said,“ Swear to me that you will do so.” So Joseph gave him his word. Then Israel bowed down at the head of his bed.

Israel said,“ Swear to me,” and he swore to him. Then Israel bowed himself on the bed’s head.

Also, the royal officials have come to congratulate our lord King David, saying,‘ May your God make Solomon’s name more famous than yours and his throne greater than yours!’ And the king bowed in worship on his bed (niv)

I want you to swear by the Lord, the God of heaven and the God of earth, that you will not get a wife for my son from the daughters of the Canaanites, among whom I am living, (niv)

By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of Joseph’s sons, and worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff. (niv)

When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called for his son Joseph and said to him,“ If I have found favor in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise that you will show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt, (niv)

Now swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants. Show to me and the country where you now reside as a foreigner the same kindness I have shown to you.” (niv)

Some time later Joseph was told,“ Your father is ill.” So he took his two sons Manasseh and Ephraim along with him.When Jacob was told,“ Your son Joseph has come to you,” Israel rallied his strength and sat up on the bed. (niv)

Then the man bowed down and worshiped the Lord, (niv)
