他兩個兒子以撒、以實瑪利把他安葬在麥比拉洞裏。這洞在幔利的對面、赫人瑣轄的兒子以弗崙的田中，

以撒年紀老邁，安享天年，息勞而終，歸到他祖先那裏。他兩個兒子以掃和雅各把他安葬了。

他們把他送到迦南地，葬在幔利對面的麥比拉田間的洞裏；那田是亞伯拉罕向赫人以弗崙買來作墳地的產業。

他們又被遷到示劍，葬於亞伯拉罕在示劍用銀子從哈抹子孫買來的墳墓裏。

我與我祖先同睡的時候，你要將我帶出埃及，把我葬在他們所葬的地方。」約瑟說：「我必遵照你的吩咐去做。」

然後，亞伯拉罕起來，離開死人面前，對赫人說：

亞伯拉罕聽從了以弗崙。亞伯拉罕就照着他說給赫人聽的，把買賣通用的銀子，秤了四百舍客勒銀子給以弗崙。於是，以弗崙把那塊位於幔利對面的麥比拉田，和其中的洞，以及田間周圍的樹木都成交了，在所有出入城門的赫人眼前，賣給亞伯拉罕作為他的產業。後來，亞伯拉罕把他妻子撒拉安葬在迦南地幔利對面的麥比拉田間的洞裏，幔利就是希伯崙。從此，那塊田和田間的洞就從赫人移交給亞伯拉罕作墳地的產業。
