雅各的儿子们就遵着他父亲所吩咐的办了，

雅各的儿子们遵照父亲的吩咐去办了，

以色列的儿子们遵照父亲的遗言，

雅各的众子就照着父亲嘱咐他们的去作，

这样，雅各的儿子们就照着父亲吩咐他们的为他去做：

雅各的兒子們就遵着他父親所吩咐的辦了，

雅各的兒子們遵照父親的吩咐去辦了，

雅各的兒子們遵照父親的吩咐去辦了，

以色列的兒子們遵照父親的遺言，

雅各的眾子就照著父親囑咐他們的去作，

雅各的兒子們是這樣照他所吩咐的給他辦了。

這樣，雅各的兒子們就照著父親吩咐他們的為他去做：

雅各諸子、循父命而行、

雅各眾子循父命而行、

雅各眾子遵父命而行、

So Jacob’s sons did as he had commanded them:

So Jacob’s sons did exactly as he had commanded them.

Thus his sons did for him as he had commanded them,

So Jacob’s sons did as he had commanded them.

So Jacob’s sons did for him what he had commanded them.

And so his sons did for him as he had commanded them;

So his sons did for him just as he had commanded them.

And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them:

So Jacob’s sons did for him what he had commanded them.

And his sons did unto him according as he commanded them:

So the sons of Jacob did for him just as he had instructed them.

His sons did to him just as he commanded them,

“ Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you. (niv)

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. (niv)

When the time drew near for Israel to die, he called for his son Joseph and said to him,“ If I have found favor in your eyes, put your hand under my thigh and promise that you will show me kindness and faithfulness. Do not bury me in Egypt,but when I rest with my fathers, carry me out of Egypt and bury me where they are buried.”“ I will do as you say,” he said.“ Swear to me,” he said. Then Joseph swore to him, and Israel worshiped as he leaned on the top of his staff. (niv)

Their bodies were brought back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor at Shechem for a certain sum of money. (niv)

Then he gave them these instructions:“ I am about to be gathered to my people. Bury me with my fathers in the cave in the field of Ephron the Hittite,the cave in the field of Machpelah, near Mamre in Canaan, which Abraham bought along with the field as a burial place from Ephron the Hittite.There Abraham and his wife Sarah were buried, there Isaac and his wife Rebekah were buried, and there I buried Leah.The field and the cave in it were bought from the Hittites.” (niv)
