The Lord saw how great the wickedness of the human race had become on the earth, and that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time.

The Lord saw how bad the sins of everyone on earth had become. They only thought about evil things.

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

The Lord observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil.

When the LORD saw that human wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every inclination of the human mind was nothing but evil all the time,

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of mankind was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of their hearts was only evil continually.

Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

And Jehovah saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

When the Lord saw that man’s wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every scheme his mind thought of was nothing but evil all the time,

But the LORD saw that the wickedness of humankind had become great on the earth. Every inclination of the thoughts of their minds was only evil all the time.

Yahweh saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of man’s heart was continually only evil.

因為從心裡出來的，有惡念、兇殺、姦淫、淫亂、偷盜、假見證和毀謗。

他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存著敗壞的心，去作那些不正當的事。這些人充滿了各樣的不義、邪惡、貪心、陰險；滿懷嫉妒、兇殺、好鬥、欺詐、幸災樂禍；又是好說讒言的、毀謗人的、憎恨神的、凌辱人的、傲慢的、自誇的、製造惡事的、忤逆父母的、冥頑不靈的、不守信用的、冷酷無情的、沒有惻隱之心的。

因為從裡面，就是從人的心裡，發出惡念、淫亂、偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪心、邪惡、詭詐、放蕩、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、愚妄；這一切惡事，是從人裡面出來的，都能使人污穢。”

耶路撒冷啊！洗淨你心中的邪惡，使你可以得救！你心存惡念，要到幾時呢？

人心比萬物都詭詐，無法醫治；誰能識透呢？

在日光之下所發生的一切事，有一件令人遺憾的，就是眾人的命運都是一樣的，並且世人的心充滿邪惡，一生心懷狂妄，後來都歸到死人那裡去。

耶和華聞了那馨香的氣味，就心裡說：“我必不再因人的緣故咒詛這地（因為人從小時開始心中所想的都是邪惡的）；我也必不再照著我作過的，擊殺各樣的活物。

你們因著自己的過犯和罪惡，原是死的。那時你們在過犯和罪惡中行事為人，隨著時代的潮流，也服從空中掌權的首領，就是現今在悖逆的人身上運行的靈。我們從前也都和他們在一起，放縱肉體的私慾，隨著肉體和心意所喜好的去行；我們與別人一樣，生來都是可怒的兒女。

我所明白的，只有這件事：神造人原是正直的，他們卻找出許多巧計。”

我們從前也是無知、不順服、受了迷惑、被各種私慾和逸樂所奴役，生活在惡毒和嫉妒之中，是可憎可惡的，並且互相仇視。

愚頑人心裡說：“沒有神。”他們都是敗壞，行了可憎的事，沒有一個行善的。（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）耶和華從天上察看世人，要看看有明慧的沒有，有尋求神的沒有。人人都偏離了正道，一同變成污穢；沒有行善的，連一個也沒有。所有作惡的都是無知的嗎？他們吞吃我的子民好像吃飯一樣，並不求告耶和華。

神從天上察看世人，要看看有明慧的沒有，有尋求神的沒有，

如果人聽了這咒詛的話，心裡仍然自誇說：‘我雖然照著頑梗的心而行，使好人和惡人一起滅亡，我還有平安。’

耶和華說：“控告所多瑪和蛾摩拉的聲音甚大，他們的罪惡極重。我現在要下去，看看他們所行的，是不是全像那聲聞於我的控告；如果不是，我也會知道的。”

在耶和華看來，所多瑪人是罪大惡極的。

那又怎麼樣呢？我們比他們強嗎？絕不是的。因為我們已經控訴過，無論是猶太人或是希臘人，都在罪惡之下，正如經上所說：“沒有義人，連一個也沒有，沒有明白的，沒有尋求神的；人人都偏離了正道，一同變成污穢；沒有行善的，連一個也沒有。他們的喉嚨是敞開的墳墓，他們用舌頭弄詭詐，他們嘴裡有虺蛇的毒，滿口是咒罵和惡毒；為了殺人流血，他們的腳步飛快，在經過的路上留下毀滅和悲慘。和睦之道，他們不曉得，他們的眼中也不怕神。”然而我們曉得，凡律法所說的，都是對在律法之下的人說的，好讓每一個人都沒有話可講，使全世界的人都伏在神的審判之下。

圖謀惡事的心、快跑行惡的腳、

他對我說：“你進去，看看他們在這裡所行可憎的惡事。”

他對我說：“人子啊！以色列家的眾長老各在自己偶像的房間裡暗中所行的，你看見了嗎？他們說：‘耶和華看不見我們，耶和華已經離開這地了。’”

何況那可憎又腐敗，喝罪孽如同喝水的世人呢？
