既然神也沒有寬容上古的世界，曾叫洪水臨到那不敬虔的世界，只保護了報公義信息的挪亞一家八口；

就是那些從前在挪亞預備方舟、神容忍等待的時候不信從的人。當時進入方舟，藉着水得救的不多，只有八個人。

因着信，挪亞既蒙神指示他未見的事，動了敬畏的心，造了方舟，使他全家得救。藉此他定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那從信而來的義。

海水回流，淹沒了戰車和戰車長，以及那些跟着以色列人下到海中的法老全軍，連一個也沒有剩下。以色列人卻在海中走乾地，水在他們的左右成了牆壁。那一日，耶和華拯救以色列脫離埃及人的手。以色列人看見埃及人死在海邊。

你六次遭難，他必救你；就是七次，災禍也無法害你。

看哪，耶和華使地空虛，變為荒蕪，地面扭曲，居民四散。那時，百姓如何，祭司也如何；僕人如何，主人也如何；婢女如何，主母也如何；買主如何，賣主也如何；放債的如何，借貸的也如何；債主如何，欠債的也如何。地必全然空虛，盡都荒蕪，因為這話是耶和華說的。大地悲哀凋零，世界敗落衰殘，地上居高位的人也沒落了。地被其上的居民所污穢，因為他們犯了律法，廢了律例，背了永約。所以，詛咒吞滅大地，住在其上的都有罪；地上的居民被火焚燒，剩下的人稀少。新酒悲哀，葡萄樹凋殘，心中歡樂的都嘆息。擊鼓之樂停止，狂歡者的喧嘩止住，彈琴之樂也停止了。

那麼，主知道搭救敬虔的人脫離試煉，把不義的人留在懲罰之下等候審判的日子，

萬軍之耶和華說：「在我所定的日子，他們必屬我，是我寶貴的產業。我必憐憫他們，如同人憐憫那服侍他的兒子。那時你們必再一次看出義人和惡人，事奉神和不事奉神的人有何差別。」

住在至高者隱密處的，必住在全能者的蔭下。

凡有血肉在地上行動的，就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸和地上成羣的羣聚動物，以及所有的人，都死了。在乾地上凡鼻孔裏有生命氣息的都死了。

藉着水，當時的世界被水淹沒而消滅了。

雖有挪亞、但以理、約伯這三人在那裏，他們只能因自己的義救自己的命。這是主耶和華說的。我若使惡獸經過那地，大肆蹂躪，使地荒涼，以致因這些獸，人都不得經過；雖有這三人在其中，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他們不能救兒子女兒，只有他們自己可以得救，那地仍然荒涼。或者我使刀劍臨到那地，說：『讓刀劍穿越那地』，以致我把人與牲畜從其中剪除；雖有這三人在其中，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他們不能救兒子女兒，只有他們自己可以得救。或者我叫瘟疫流行那地，把我的憤怒帶着血傾在其中，好使人與牲畜從其中剪除；雖有挪亞、但以理、約伯在那裏，主耶和華說：我指着我的永生起誓，他們不能救兒子女兒，只能因自己的義救自己的命。

遭怒的日子錢財無益；惟有公義能救人脫離死亡。

這些人要往永刑裏去；那些義人要往永生裏去。」

你要依從上古的道嗎？這道是惡人行過的。他們未到時候就被抓去；他們的根基被江河沖去。他們向神說：『離開我們吧！』全能者能把他們怎麼樣呢？
