Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.”

洪水在地上氾濫四十天，水往上漲，使方舟浮起，方舟就從地上漂起來。

四十晝夜有大雨降在地上。

耶和華說：「我要把所造的人和走獸，爬行動物，以及天空的飛鳥，都從地面上除滅，因為我造了他們感到遺憾。」

看哪，我要使洪水氾濫在地上，毀滅天下凡有生命氣息的血肉之軀，地上的一切都要滅亡。

神對挪亞說：「在我面前，凡血肉之軀的結局已經臨到，因着他們，地上充滿了暴力。看哪，我要把他們和這地一起毀滅。

他們未到時候就被抓去；他們的根基被江河沖去。

「在收割的前三個月，我不降雨在你們那裏，我降雨在這城，不降雨在那城；這塊地有雨，那塊無雨的地就必枯乾。

他又另外等了七天，再放出鴿子，這次鴿子不再回到他那裏了。

得勝的必這樣穿白衣，我也不從生命冊上塗去他的名；我要在我父面前，和我父的眾使者面前，宣認他的名。

願他們從生命冊上被塗去，不得名列在義人之中。

要為風定輕重，又度量諸水，

使密雲盛滿水氣，烏雲散佈閃電。雲藉着他的指引遊行旋轉，在世界的地面上行他一切所吩咐的，

過了七天，洪水氾濫在地上。

你先為這個滿了七日，我們就把那個也給你，不過你要另外再服事我七年。」雅各就這樣做了。滿了利亞的七日，拉班就把女兒拉結給雅各為妻。

現在，求你赦免他們的罪；不然，就把我從你所寫的冊上除名。」耶和華對摩西說：「誰得罪我，我就把他從我的冊上除去。

地上還沒有田野的草木，田間的菜蔬還沒有長出來，因為耶和華神還沒有降雨在地上，也沒有人耕種土地。

耶和華說：「人既屬乎血氣，我的靈就不永遠住在他裏面；然而他的年歲還可到一百二十年。」

因他吸取水點，水點就從雲霧中變成雨；雲彩將雨落下，沛然降於世人。又有誰能明白密雲如何鋪張，和神行宮的雷聲呢？看哪，他的亮光普照自己的四圍；他覆蓋海的深處。因他用這些審判眾民，又賜豐富的糧食。他以閃電遮手掌，命令它擊中靶子。

凡有血肉在地上行動的，就是飛鳥、牲畜、走獸和地上成羣的羣聚動物，以及所有的人，都死了。在乾地上凡鼻孔裏有生命氣息的都死了。耶和華除滅了地面上各類的生物，包括人和牲畜、爬行動物，以及天空的飛鳥；他們就都從地上除滅了，只剩下挪亞和那些與他同在方舟裏的。

挪亞又另外等了七天，再把鴿子從方舟放出去。
