我们这短暂而轻微的苦楚要为我们成就极重、无比、永远的荣耀。

惟独从上头来的智慧，先是清洁，后是和平、温良、柔顺，满有怜悯和美善的果子，没有偏私，没有虚伪。正义的果实是为促进和平的人用和平栽种出来的。

耶和华虽严严地惩治我，却未曾将我交于死亡。

趁还有指望，管教你的儿子，不可执意摧毁他。

肉身之父都是短时间随己意管教我们，惟有灵性之父管教我们是要我们得益处，使我们在他的圣洁上有份。

喜爱你律法的人大有平安，任何事都不能使他们跌倒。

背弃正路的，必受严刑；恨恶责备的，必致死亡。

公义的果实是平安，公义的效果是平静和安稳，直到永远。

惟独长大成人的才能吃干粮，他们的心窍因练习而灵活，能分辨善恶了。

要弃绝那世俗的言语和老妇的无稽传说。要在敬虔上操练自己：因操练身体有些益处；但敬虔在各方面都有益，它有现今和未来的生命的应许。

我就要用杖责罚他们的过犯，用鞭责罚他们的罪孽。

因为神的国不在乎饮食，而在乎公义、和平及圣灵中的喜乐。

他们满眼是淫色，是止不住的罪，引诱心不坚定的人，心中习惯了贪婪，正是被诅咒的种类。
