伊梢後來之如何切望降福、而卒見拒絕、爾所知也。蓋大錯已鑄、噬臍莫及；雖痛哭流涕而求之、亦徒然矣。

以撒为雅各祝福完毕，雅各才从他父亲那里出来，他哥哥以扫正打猎回来。以扫也做了美味，拿来给他父亲，对他父亲说：“父亲，请起来，吃你儿子的野味，你好为我祝福。”他父亲以撒对他说：“你是谁？”他说：“我是你的儿子，你的长子以扫。”以撒就大大战兢，说：“那么，是谁打了猎物拿来给我呢？你未来之前我已经吃了，也为他祝福了，他将来就必蒙福。”以扫听了他父亲的话，就大声痛哭，对他父亲说：“我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”以撒说：“你弟弟已经用诡计来把你的福分夺去了。”以扫说：“他名叫雅各，岂不是这样吗？他欺骗了我两次：他先前夺了我长子的名分，看哪，他现在又夺了我的福分。”以扫又说：“你没有留下给我的祝福吗？”以撒回答以扫说：“看哪，我已立他作你的主，使他的弟兄都给他作仆人，并赐他五谷新酒可以养生。我儿，那么，现在我还能为你做什么呢？”以扫对他父亲说：“我父啊，你只有一个祝福吗？我父啊，求你也为我祝福！”以扫就放声而哭。他父亲以撒回答说：“看哪，你所住的地方必缺乏肥沃的土地，缺乏天上的甘露。你必倚靠刀剑度日，又必服侍你的兄弟；到你强盛的时候，必从你颈项上挣开他的轭。以扫因他父亲给雅各的祝福，就怨恨雅各，心里说：“为我父亲居丧的时候近了，到那时候，我要杀我的弟弟雅各。”

“你们要努力进窄门。我告诉你们，将来有许多人想要进去，却不能。等到一家之主起来关了门，你们才站在外面敲门，说：‘主啊，给我们开门！’他要回答你们说：‘我不认识你们，不知道你们是哪里来的。’那时，你们要说：‘我们在你面前吃过喝过，你也在我们的街上教导过人。’他要对你们说：‘我告诉你们，我不知道你们是哪里来的。你们这一切不义的人，给我走开！’

人必称他们为被抛弃的银子，因为耶和华已经抛弃了他们。

论到那些已经蒙了光照、尝过天恩的滋味、又于圣灵有份、并尝过上帝的话的美味，和来世权能的人，若再离弃真道，就不可能使他们重新懊悔了；因为他们亲自把上帝的儿子重钉十字架，公然羞辱他。

因为我呼唤，你们不听，我招手，无人理会。你们忽视我一切的劝戒，拒听我的责备。你们遭难，我就发笑；惊恐临到你们，惊恐如狂风来临，灾难好像暴风来到，急难痛苦临到你们身上，我必嗤笑。

如果我们领受真理的知识以后仍故意犯罪，就不再有赎罪的祭物，惟有战战兢兢等候审判和那将吞灭众敌人的烈火了。任何人干犯摩西的律法，凭两个或三个证人，尚且必须处死，不得宽赦，更何况践踏上帝儿子的人，他们将那使他成圣之约的血当作不洁净，又亵慢施恩的圣灵的人，你们想，他不该受更严厉的惩罚吗？
